OBC?

It’s been almost 7 years since we’ve sailed on Carnival. We finally decided to come back and try their new Excel class ship. We received OBC with our booking so wanted to know exactly what you can use non-refundable OBC for? Weekly gratuities? Casino? Thx!

You can use it for most anything on the ship.  Gratuities, casino, gift shop, bingo, spa services, shore excursions, bars, specialty coffee.  If you have $100+ you can even buy a Carnival gift card at Cherry on Top.

"anything else"

...yes...

Thank you, I thought I had tried a few weeks ago and while my OBC was showing in my booking details I didn't see an offer to use it at check out for the drink package. Will check and try again.

Cruise isn't until Sept but thinking package might go up again. Do you know if Carnival always gives warning before raising prices?

Typically they do but it's not always much of a notice. Could be only a few days notice. And things like excursions can go up at any time with zero notice, as we learned the other day when HMC cabanas and villas shot up in price with wild abandon.

Very true, good to know. I might as well just book everything ahead of time and quit being lazy lol.

Yes, if you know you want something then book it. Cheers doesn't sell out but it's certainly not going to be any cheaper between now and sail date.

Yes, and if there ever was a sale (extremely unlikely for cheers, but there are sales for excursions, spa, pixels, and wi-fi) you can cancel for a full refund and rebook at the sale price.

My OBC did not show up either.  When I went to pay for  my drink package it was just there in the cart as an option to pay.  I had booked so long ago I forgot I even had it!!!!   WOOHOO!!!  I was very happy to say the least.
