Best Time for MDR Walk-Ins?

There haven’t been any DMW reservation times for most seatings on our current cruise on the Emerald for over a week, with the exception of a few nights at 8:40. 
 

What are the most likely times to be able to walk in without a lengthy wait?

I would say 7:30 plus.  So many Princess cruisers look to eat super early

I like to dine early, like at 5:30 and there is never a wait. I know for most that’s really early but it free’s up the entire evening for shows and entertainment plus,  I’m not stuffed right before going to bed.

It entirely matters if you are willing to share a table or want a private table.

The very early (5 to 5:30) and late (8 to 9) are you best bets if you don't like to wait at the door.

Book a reserve cabin & not have this problem.

Hang on, totally agree except the last line.  It should read "plus, I can go stuff myself again at 9:45 before the buffet closes".  🙂
