How do I access my MGM Rewards Benefits with Royal Caribbean or Celebrity Cruises?

 

MGM Rewards members must validate their tier status by calling Royal Caribbean at (1-800-762-0702) or Celebrity Cruises at (Platinum & NOIR: 1-888-858-4478; Sapphire, Pearl, & Gold: 1-855-227-2537). Benefits must be requested at the time of the initial booking and at least ten (10) days prior to the cruise’s departure date

Thanks for the phone #s.  They would only apply one gold OBC to the cruise even though we both are gold.  But grateful for the one OBC.

It was on an existing booking.  But when I pay the final, I will ask again for the other OBC.

I feel like I've called before to have it added to cruises and they wouldn't, but I can't n remember why. I thought maybe it was couldn't be added to existing bookings?

I've called in the past and they told me it is not applicable to any booking with a casino discount.

Well, I tried but was told it cannot be used on an existing booking. Just more RCCL inconsistency. The response I received specifically:

 

"MGM Rewards (previously M life) is processed by our casino department and must be processed by one of our casino agents at the time of booking creation. Since this booking was made 06/28/23, it would appear that this booking is ineligible."

I've successfully applied rewards a few weeks after a booking through Casino Royale, however the booking has to be an 'individual' booking. They won't apply rewards to group bookings and many other promotional fares.

I have been able to get the OBC credit applied to a booked cruise and I believe at the time the only requirement was that the booking had to be made within the past 30 days. YMMV

Well, it just so happens that was the first reason they gave me for denying an award also. However, when I pressed them, because they had applied rewards in the past, they then told me it cannot be a applied to a group booking, which mine was. I rebooked as an individual booking and gave up $50 OBC from my TA. After rebooking, Casino Royale then honored the award and I received $150 in match play.

Thanks for the info. I just now booked a new cruise through Casino Royale and tried to have the MGM OBC applied at booking. They would not allow it, this time stating it was because I got a Club Royale casino discount and both cannot be used. I can't win!!
