Northstar on Ovation

Recommended Posts

If you do the extended version that goes over the sides on seas days, it is $19. They have free up and down rides in port. The free rides you reserve once you are on board. The extended versions can be reserved prior to boarding.

Is there a charge for Northstar on Alaska cruise?

The free rides are typically only on port days - sign up in the app. The charge goes up even further during glacier viewing times.

You can still reserve it right onboard, it seemed like there were several open slots when we did.  And I think it was worth the $19pp.  Quite exciting to swing out over the side and look at the whole side of the ship from up there, scary too, but I loved it!

It depends.  I've been on The North Star twice on Anthem and there was a charge for SEA DAYS but not PORT DAYS.

@MelRandom, you can reserve the ones for SEA DAYS on the app before your cruise at any time or you can reserve them on the ship.  For the PORT DAYS, reservations open up the night before your arrival.  There's a $25 late fee if you miss the appointment.
