I want to try to make it back to Alaska in 2024 but I'm a bargain hunter and Hal ain't cheap for Alaska 😆. More likely a Caribbean or repositioning cruise with them.

Aloha.  Besides HAL where it is delicious, many steakhouses in NY and Honolulu also serve clothesline bacon. It has become the new fad and its delicious everywhere lol!

Chocolate chip muffin. Wanted something sweet but I don't expect anything from their pastries. It met my expectations. 

 

Our time rolls back next weekend so we get an extra 25 hour day.  I wonder when Bermuda rolls back? Will we gain that hour before Bermuda or after. Either way I have a lot of 25 hour days coming up.

It was 15 minutes before I saw a server. The table near me asked for their dessert to go, they had been here too long and had plans.

 

Other table next to me has been needing to be bussed since before I got here. Good news is I know what dessert to skip, the uneaten food has been staring at me since I sat down.

Don't usually do bread but I give it a try at specialty dining - usually worth it.

I'm not a big bread person so I wouldn't get that again. There was nothing wrong with it but bread has to really have a wow factor for me to enjoy it.

Just have to comment - it is around 9 am here in NY, and looking at your food pics makes me ravenous and throws off my calorie count for the day - lol!  Happens almost every morning with your posts.  Loving your review and pics!

I'm gonna call the mystery dish bubble and squeak. It was excellent. Not sure why I got it, maybe they felt bad for having to tell me only one side dish. 

 

Everything on my plate was fantastic and piping hot.

 

The pork belly was the same preparation they use at jiji's which has to be the best pork belly dish anywhere.

 

I left very full and quite satisfied. 

 

Cover charge was $25. Is it worth it? With a meal already paid for, it's a tough sell for another charge but I would still do it again although not every time. It's biggest selling point for me is that it's something different to try.

 

The service was a bit disorganized. I expect a meal made to order to take longer but I had trouble getting my water refilled and as mentioned, it qas 15 minutes before a waiter stopped by.

 

I find the steakhouse on most Carnival ships to be not quite up to par with service expectations. I'm not sure why that is, but it's why I don't do the steakhouse very often unless it's a casino comp. 

 

And most importantly, there are not enough salt and pepper shakers to go around and my table was not among the chose ones.

Value: Mixed

Service: No

When I go back to calorie counting (almost time now) I have to stay away from food heavy reviews and videos 😆
