fstuff1 Posted September 17, 2023 #1 Share Posted September 17, 2023 Read on social media site that Seaside only has around 150 slots. I'm a NCL person but was thinking of taking a MSC cruise out of Brooklyn, NY. Is it also the small # of slots on the Meraviglia?
psmarkle Posted September 17, 2023 #2 Share Posted September 17, 2023 I think you can find some youtube videos to get a good idea of the casinos. I do enjoy the generous casino comps on MSC, though. I always get enough points playing the tables to earn a 30% off my next cruise which makes sailing in the Yacht Club very affordable. You do have to use it within 9 months, though. My wife plays penny slots and usually earns one as well.

As far as I know, the money-to-point rates vary, depending on the game played. Also, those rates may have been tweaked along with the rewards. You need the scoop from someone who has gambled widely and recently on an MSC ship, for the new rates. Perhaps a new topic, focusing on new rates for tables and machines is your best bet. Rare Georgia_Peaches Posted September 18, 2023 #8 Share Posted September 18, 2023 (edited) I would describe the casinos as small. There are a good many slot machines crammed into a limited space and many of them are capable of multiple games. In all three ships I’ve sailed (seashore, Meraviglia, seaside) the bar took up a huge amount of real estate followed by table games. Slots were abundant but it was definitely a much smaller space compared to Celebrity or NCL. On our last 2 MSC cruises we earned a “free” cruise after 5000 players points. The higher you go in points the better the “free” accommodation you can acquire. We have also earned the 30% off which we used on a YC interior room. $1000 pp for a week in YC isn’t bad at all. Rare JamieLogical Posted September 18, 2023 #9 Share Posted September 18, 2023 My husband finally got around to uploading the 360 videos he took on the Meraviglia in April. Here is the one of the casino. It's a 360 video, so you can click & drag on the video itself to pan the camera around.

That's pretty darn quick for a Husband to do something with standard nagging, you got a keeper.

I didn't do any nagging at all. We are sailing on the Meraviglia again next weekend and he realized he needed to get all the files off the camera from our previous sailing so he would have storage space to take new videos.
