Boarding time delayed

We have just had our HAL boarding time moved to 7pm. Has anyone experienced this before? Although the ship isn’t due to leave until 11pm it still seems mighty late. What could be the reason?

Your individual boarding time or is that the time that general boarding starts? With an 11:00pm departure, I wouldn't consider boarding 4 hours before as late.

 

Beyond that, it's hard to comment without knowing the port/ship/cruise.

Where is the boarding and what time is the ship scheduled to arrive from the previous cruise?

That sounds late even for a deep cleaning.  I was boarding after a deep cleaning a while back and we were able to get on around 2 or 3.  
 

Since it was spur of the moment HAL took our luggage and provided a food voucher and shuttle to a nice walk around area.  Those were the days😉

My guess would be the 1 Oct departure of the N.S. out of Piraeus.  The departure time was pushed from 7pm to 11pm a couple of weeks ago.  I am still showing Check in Group A at 11am on my Navigator BP, but many on the Roll Call are getting notice of very late boarding times...ie 7pm. & 8:20pm

Yes, it’s the NS October 1st cruise from Athens. Our “new” boarding time is 6:40 pm. Arrive at airport at 11 am with HAL transfer and are wondering how this will work.

Yes, sorry, it’s the NS from Piraeus on 1st October. What is even more strange is that I believe she arrives in port the day before.

It's a half hour from the airport to the port, the shuttle should drop you off no later than 2:00pm and then you will board. 6:40pm is way too late to board, you will be on a lot earlier.

Piraeus tends to be a late departure.  Those pax on the 24/28 day B2B's need the late sailaway time.  I reckon they are just spreading out the boarding.  Go whenever you arrive.
