New Year Cruise on the Jewel

We are taking the family for our first cruise with Royal Caribbean, on the Jewel of the Seas.  What can we expect for our New Year's Eve experience?

 

Any information, recommendations would be appreciated.

Only if you want to eat at a specialty restaurant.

You don't mention the dates, but we were on Adventure this past New Year's Eve from Galveston and that was the actual departure date. They had formal night on NYE, the first night of the cruise. Lots of photo opportunities, lots of folks dressed up even fancier than a usual formal night, lots of younger kids dressed up to match their parents. You wouldn't normally have a formal night on the first night of a cruise, but they took advantage of it being NYE.

We had 3 NYE on Royal ships and two on Princess. All were amazing. Big celebrations, balloon(s) drop, musing, dancing before and after New Year… fun fun.
