Rare JIMESOPUS Posted April 24 #176 Share Posted April 24 few more photo's floating around, still wondering who or how are they going to read the depth gauge under the ship
FreestyleNovice Posted April 25 #177 Share Posted April 25 Perhaps here's some more specific dates for future Leonardo ships: https://www.fincantieri.com/globalassets/supplier/fc---2024---dichiarazioni-alto-mare-ricevute-16.01.2024_v.3.pdf (note the filename has date 16 Jan 2024) May be a bit too small to read so here goes a quick copy paste and small edit: 6298 PRIMA 6299 VIVA 6300 mar-25 3 (AQUA) 6301 mar-26 LEONARDO 4 6302 apr-27 – LEONARDO 5 6303 apr-28 – LEONARDO 6 And the latest NCLH order: 6354 dic-26 NCL BAHAMAS LTD 6354 6355 lug-29 NCL BAHAMAS LTD 6355 6359 lug-27 NCL BAHAMAS LTD 6359 6360 dic-28 NCL BAHAMAS LTD 6360 6361 apr-30 NCL BAHAMAS LTD 6361 With one of them probably be one of the two new builds for Oceania, as hull 6367 down the rows is intended for Oceania with the note "New Oceania" added to it. In total eight new ships after Aqua, only the dates don't match with recent media postings. 2
Rare JIMESOPUS Posted April 26 #178 Share Posted April 26 Aqua being towed out of the dry dock, lot's of work to yet to be completed by the looks of the scaffolding still mounted on the ship. @FreestyleNovice Tight schedule between the Aqua and Leo #4, makes me wonder if there will be a delay for #4 or the Aqua will be completed sooner. 4
Rare JIMESOPUS Posted May 3 #179 Share Posted May 3 I guess it's now official that the Aqua floated out, only took NCL about a week to add music. https://fb.watch/rR0kGJLS8Y/ 4
david_sobe Posted May 6 #180 Share Posted May 6 I cant wait until the photos start leaking and being released. What will the new atrium look like?
Rare JIMESOPUS Posted May 6 #181 Share Posted May 6 @david_sobe The other day I went through the current release deck plans from NCL,https://www.ncl.com/cruise/aqua/accommodations/deck-plans noticed that the Atrium is not listed on deck #6, seems they pushed everything forward to the elevators. It looks like the Penrose Bar will be a true casino bar and no room for any live entertainment Prima deck #6 Aqua deck #6
Rare Luffe Posted May 7 #182 Share Posted May 7 Another change is that Entourage has its own space on deck 14 and Splash Academy has its own space on deck 15. That should help a lot compared to Prima/Viva.

This gives me hope that NCL does listen to the " customer " and will make changes. I was told over a year ago that the Aqua would have a bigger venue for Syd's and the Improv, that blank spot on deck #6 could be the location for one of them.
Apsyrtospil Posted May 9 #184 Share Posted May 9 Hello everybody, I would like to know if there's any indication that Aqua or "Aqua II" could sail in the med in the coming years ? I'm sorry if the subject has already been adressed. I did read the thread but I might have missed something 🙂 A great day to you all

Rare JIMESOPUS Posted May 9 #186 Share Posted May 9 @Apsyrtospil Welcome to Cruise Critic, since the schedule for 2026 has been fully released this would only be a guess, yes the Aqua will find its way back to the Mediterranean. She is now scheduled for Florida and then back to NYC for the summer run to Bermuda. The Prima and Viva are both back in Europe for the Summer this year so I'm guessing the Aqua will eventually spend time back there as well. @scottsquires12 - I agree about the Epic but I think the Sun, Sky, and maybe even the Spirit will be the first to go. I think that one or maybe all three will be sold to an Asian cruise company. From Travel and Leisure - 10/23 "The 2023 return to Asia is just the start for NCL, which plans to expand its presence in the region next year. Norwegian Spirit, Norwegian Sun, and Norwegian Sky will join Norwegian Jewel in Asia for the 2024–25 season — a record number of NCL ships in Asia at a single time. Guests will even be able to add NCL Cruise Tours onto certain itineraries, adding three-night extensions on land in Tokyo, Taipei, and Singapore. FreestyleNovice Posted May 12 #189 Share Posted May 12 Hull 6301, Leo 4, also arrived last week @Steff79. Greeted by the Venice linesmen https://www.facebook.com/ormeggiatori.venezia and already in dry dock. Some nice photos on their FB! Great for an opening post of a Leo 4 thread if you are up for it, despite the slow pace the threads are a nice timeline or reference work for future cruisers.
Rare JIMESOPUS Posted May 12 #190 Share Posted May 12 On May 20th, NCL is holding their Investor Day, they like dropping little tidbits about expansions and the direction they are going. Hopefully, they will post an update on the Aqua and the name of the next Leo.
david_sobe Posted May 12 #191 Share Posted May 12 Look at all that aft deck space since it does not have a mammoth race track. I think we have a winner winner chicken dinner!

So, I have looked on the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and these 3 are the remaining names for the Project Leonardo lineage. The names translated to English are as follows: Norwegian Luna - Norwegian Moon Norwegian Bella - Norwegian Pretty Norwegian Ultima - Norwegian Last So Norwegian Ultima will be the 6th and final name, so only Luna and Bella remain... My bets are currently on Bella for Leo 4 and Luna for Leo 5! Edited May 13 by Nathan Graveson

lemon bar Posted May 14 #196 Share Posted May 14 Hi. I was looking at app today and not sure why, but for our trip in March 2026 on the Aqua all types of the cabanas or villas on Great Stirrup Cay were already available to book! So maybe check it out if interested. Also the app has all restaurants and bars listed, even new ones, with pictures. I'm assuming the pics are more artist renderings, but still fun to look at. Have a good night!

There are a few spots for lounge chairs around the coaster though.
FreestyleNovice Posted May 14 #199 Share Posted May 14 (edited) Hmm.. well there could be a second stretched up part besides the larger Atrium part? Prima/Viva: Length 299.0m (981 feet) (some site even have 294 m / 965 ft) Aqua: Length 321.8m (1,056 feet) Lots of differences online on Aqua's length, https://maritime-executive.com/article/norwegian-s-next-cruise-ship-norwegian-aqua-is-floated-by-fincantieri takes 1st place with a whopping 1,506 feet. The Norwegian Aqua is 1,506 feet in length and will measure 156,300 gross tons when completed versus the Norwegian Prima which is 965 feet in length and 143,535 gross tons. That is nearly 460 meters, LOL that would make Icon of the Seas almost a tender boat.. heheh! Royal what? Aqua-uite can't hear yooouuu Edited May 14 by FreestyleNovice
