Our ship Saga Spirit of Discovery,  has come back early to miss bad weather in BoB. We are in portsmouth , but should have been crossing Bob today. Whay is it actually like.

We arrived in Southampton today on QV. We left Madeira on Saturday and had rough seas up the coast of Portugal but nothing serious. The BoB was very calm and a lot smoother with no great swell or movement.

Don't worry about BoB. North Sea and Atlantic are worse in Winter!

On the Ventura at the moment. Last night was a rough crossing, 77 knots relative wind speed.  Cabins were flooded and some with loss of power.  We arrived at Vigo a day early as the captain wanted to avoid the worst of the weather.

Thank you , sounds bad.  Spirit of Discovery would have been scheduled to leave BoB and round Brest peninsula at 12 noon, so it may have missed worst if it was Wednesday night. But a close call, can we why Captain was cautious
