Upgrade question

So we are two days out for our next cruise and I haven't received anything regarding the upgrade bid I put in.  Aren't you supposed to receive an email either way?  I don't even see the link to see my upgrade from my reservation anymore since everything is locked in now.  Thanks!

Most get the rejection letter after thry board the ship.

Indeed... last year I received the email at 9 pm the night I boarded, and had gone to bed.  A denial of course.

 

However...this one just came two days ago (I sail Sunday).  I won my bid...but this gave me time to reprint my set sail pass and luggage tags.  🙂

Recently I have been receiving the rejection email the evening before sailing.  So, look for it (including junk mail) tomorrow evening if your bid is not accepted. 
 

They seem to have changed the system since last year when there were late rejections and even the rare late acceptance.

Check your credit card activity online.  I've heard of people learning of their "win" when they saw a charge.

My last two cruises (Oasis and Navigator) I didn't get a rejection email.

I have always gotten a rejection letter on embarkation day when my bid is rejected. Usually the first indication I have of a winning bid is when my cabin number changes.

With ships over 100% these days, the odds of winning these are slim to none. You are basically hoping for a last second cancellation to happen to add to the upgrade pool. Put in a bid in for fun, but don’t expect to win
