Arrival time at Port Everglades

How strict is Celebrity on your arrival time at Port Everglades?  We will be disembarking Enchanted Princess and boarding Celebrity Equinox.  The earliest arrival time we could get was 11:30 and I am sure Princess will want us off their ship long before that!  Just wondering if we arrive early, if we will have to wait until our arrival time to check-in.  It's been a while since we have sailed on Celebrity.  Thanks.

Sometimes they are stretch and sometimes smart, but with no hotel to hang around waiting for a later appointment time, you don’t have much choice.  Just go to the Celebrity terminal and cross your fingers They will let you in.

11:30 is the earliest boarding time now. You will get into the building earlier but not as soon as you get off your other cruise. They need staff and time to clear the prior cruise

Thanks for the info.  I guess we will stay on Enchanted as long as we can, then head over to Equinox and wait.

Port Everglades is in a great location for you to go enjoy yourself for a bit in between cruises. Can you drop your bags early and then take a taxi to Las Olas and enjoy a leisurely breakfast? Or stroll Ft Lauderdale Beach? It should only be a few minutes in a taxi. The W on Ft Lauderdale Beach has an EXCELLENT brunch out on the patio over looking the ocean. Definitely beats sitting in the terminal.

In our experience the terminal does not open until 11- 11:15.

That would be your best bet.

and that is likely 9am so still more than 2 hours to wait

We've taken 6 Celebrity cruises since the post pandemic start up and we have always been admitted to the Celebrity terminal building  between 10:30 and 10:45 with boarding time between 11:20 and 11:30

We have also done multiple cruises out of PE and have arrived before 11 on 1 occasion and the terminal was not open.  Lots of us waiting outside.  We tend not to leave the hotel until 11 so are at the port around 11:20.  .

I guess we have been a little luckier than you,

BTW last we we sailed on the Sky Princess also out of PE, that was our 72nd cruise and we boarded the ship at 10:55, a record for us for boarding that early.
