So if we are Platinum but not Premium, we can pay $70 to participate in the prizes?  And where do we pay this?

You are getting loyalty levels and the different packages confused. You have to get the Premier Package to have Prizes included, or pay extra for it. Whether you are Platinum or Elite level has nothing to do with it.

I understood it just fine.  Sorry if you misinterpreted what I was saying.  I just asked if we could pay under those circumstances.

Anybody can participate. I believe you just go to Guest Services to sign up. It used to be possible to sign up from the door panel but I think a lot of people weren't clear on being charged for every day from then on and thought they could just do it for a day or so and complained when they found out they were charged for the entire time so it that option was removed.

Oh sorry, yes I did misunderstand. If you'd have said you are Platinum but don't have the Premier package then I'd have gathered what you meant. 

You have the answer and if you want to pay then go for it. We are just off a cruise and saw a list of the prizes and many are not that great in my opinion. They can make it seem like everyone wins but, for example, one of the prizes supposedly valued at $75 is a "Pizza making experience". The odds of winning this prize is 1:2000 so that gives me an idea of whether I personally would participate. Of course people win 7 day cruises but I'll take my chances with the Powerball draw.

I did that one once a very long time ago. I was paid $2..25/hr for the privilege. No thanks. 🤪
