I think the 14 day thing is them covering their own back - it seems to be automated and goes through as quick as you say- though I know there were issues over one black Friday where people had to wait weeks for refunds.

We were just in Labadee yesterday on the Adventure.   Any excursions that were off the land were cancelled.

 

I was hesitant to go there but it was fine….
