DaMom Posted March 15 #1 Share Posted March 15 Safe area, central location, near restaurants? Bonus points for included breakfast and/or airport shuttle. Hoping to stay a few days pre-cruise next February. Thanks!

Harley57 Posted March 16 #3 Share Posted March 16 Mio Buenos Aires in Recoleta. Many restaurants near by and less than two blocks from the Recoleta Cemetery. We stayed for two nights last month. Breakfast was included. Enjoy your trip https://www.miobuenosaires.com/en/ 1
lynncarol Posted March 19 #4 Share Posted March 19 I highly recommend Hotel Palo Santo located in the prestigious Palermo District of Buenos Aires. It is a small boutique hotel, serves breakfast, has a lovely enclosed little garden and you will not encounter bus-loads of tourists. They even let us check in hours early for no extra charge. This area is very safe to walk around at night and only a few blocks away is the small Crizia restaurant, which served delicious food at a reasonable price.
Mercruiser Posted March 25 #5 Share Posted March 25 We stayed at the Park Tower, which shares a building with the Sheraton.. I really liked the location, across from a big park, near the cruise port. If the Park Tower is too pricy, stay at the Sheraton. The two hotels share a big outdoor pool and fitness center. Getting around was easy using Uber, which costs about 1/4 of what we pay at home. We used it multiple time a day to see all the sites on our own.

That's not a safe area. Taxis or uber from a hotel in better areas are very inexpensive.
kathynorth Posted April 23 #8 Share Posted April 23 (edited) On our first trip we stayed at the BA Hilton in the Puerto Madero section. It was nice, in a decent location for restaurants, but very expensive with a loud central court area.We needed to take taxis to any of the sites we wanted to see that were outside of Puerto Madero. For our 2nd trip we stayed at the Palladio Hotel MGallery that is located close to downtown and on the outskirts of the Recoleta neighborhood. We found a great rate at this hotel via SuperTravel. It was very nice, quiet, with a decent restaurant. Centrally located, so we were able to walk to most of the sites we wanted to see. However, if I were to visit BA again we'd likely book a boutique hotel in the Recolleta neighborhood. Edited April 23 by kathynorth
soccermom4 Posted April 27 #9 Share Posted April 27 We stayed at Mine Hotel Boutique in Palermo last year. Small, very friendly, lovely included breakfast and we really enjoyed the area. More "hip" than "swank" but felt safe. We are vegan, so appreciated the fact that the hotel bought vegan breakfast items just for us when we alerted them in advance to our dietary preferences.
