Have It All Package

I will be calling to see why this is happening. I just booked a cruise and now on the website trying to buy the have it all package for the cruise and it says my booking is not eligible for the have it all package. Does anyone know why this would be happening?

Is it a Casino Rate? Or other group booking?

I am not sure I will have to call my TA and ask them all about that. This is our first time with Holland America, so I know it isn't a Casino Rate.

Maybe your TA already booked you with the HIA rate?

There are a few rates - very few - that don't combine with HIA. Almost all of the casino ones do and all the standard rates combine as well. I think that. @oakridger might be on to something

And just in case it may apply, HIA is not available for cruises under 7 days.

Mmmm... I am on a 6-day cruise, and we have the Have It All (HIA) package.

I guess I was not clear enough.  I’m not talking about booking a cruise with HIA in the price.   You cannot buy the HIA package ans an  add onto your cruise that’s under 7 day.  I wasn’t aware of any rule change.

For one 7-day booking last year I had the same experience as OP. I just kept checking the wonky website for a few weeks and eventually HIA showed as available for no particular reason so I grabbed it. I hadn't called anyone or made any booking changes. You could have your TA try via a phone call.

I have no idea why you have such good luck. HIA is the best deal I've ever come accross in over 25 years of cruising. Thank your lucky stars, bring copies of the paperwork, and grab your flip-flops! You're going cruising!

I talked to my TA and she booked it for us. She said that Holland's website has been having trouble recognizing some bookings. We are good now. Thank you all for your responses. Our cruise is 14 days.

Yes, it is. We’re doing the little 6 day before Rotterdam repositions and we got the HIA.

I did just that for an upcoming 6 day cruise. Booked a “private fare” rate without HIA in November 2023 thru my TA and hours later just purchased the HIA through the website. Maybe “rules” have changed since then.

Well, that’s great news that you could 👍. I could not on my B2B2B where one segment was 5 days.  I called and was told not and referenced the terms and conditions and it was clearly spelled out.  Last time I looked it was still there (HAL site hasn’t liked me the last couple of days  😉 so I couldn’t check to see if it was still there after the initial report).

 

Whether it’s still there or not, if you’re able to purchase it - that’s great 🙂

HIA can't be added to sailings of 5 or fewer days. It says so in the fine print.
