"Standing in line at Chops to make our dinner reservations.  I came with a post-it with the dates and venues written on it.  I got everything I wanted, but I still think it’s stupid that we have to “rush for classes” in order to make specialty dining reservations."

Wondering why you had to stand in line to make dinner reservations instead of reserving in advance? Better pricing?

We had the 5 night package.  You can’t make reservations for the package until you are onboard the ship.

Hope you enjoy good weather on the way to the canal Teeara and Pam!  🙂

And congrats on your first block!  They are so different now with the color background (yet another supplier)...but I like them.  Bucky doesn't like them as well as the plain crystal blocks.

We have had many duplicates, which we give to crew members who adore them!  My shelves are a tad full right now.  😉  And some of those pesky "pointy ones" have taken up room as well.  😄

They still have clear crystal blocks and that’s what I requested and got about 15 minutes ago.  Woo hoo!

We also were moved from our assigned table on one side of the ship to the other side and a table next to the window.

Oh got it! We just reserved two different dinners.

Last night we gained an hour, but our clocks and phones didn’t make the change so we were up at 6:00 rather than 7:00.  Not that big of a deal and I was able to catch the sunrise.

This morning was the enrichment lecture on Cartagena (where we will be tomorrow).

IMG_4498.thumb.jpeg.6410c6cb58f085305d2f2f69d4d4700c.jpeg

Then we were off to the Colony Club for the Champagne Art Auction.  Pam and I both liked this piece from Daniel Wall so we bid and won it for under $500 including the frame and shipping costs.

We did lunch in the Windjammer and we had dinner in the MDR.  They moved us from our original table (3rd row from the window) to one next to the window on the opposite side of the ship.

And now for some food porn!

Tonight’s menu:

IMG_4523.thumb.jpeg.b615be0433ecd97ceea623256fad0b8c.jpeg

First up is our cheesy bread.

IMG_4514.thumb.jpeg.42e24a98e7deb9001773981475173581.jpeg

Then our Vegetable Tempura which wasn’t that great.  1 red bell pepper, 1 green bell pepper, 1 zucchini, 1 onion ring and 1 asparagus served with a soy ginger glaze.  It was rather lackluster.

IMG_4517.thumb.jpeg.2c19cd47ad3563fb3088c42f1fb15fbc.jpeg

We both had the Chicken Schnitzel with Mustard Cream Sauce, Cabbage Slaw and Roasted Potatoes.  The Schnitzel and Potatoes were fine.  The slaw had fennel which we both dislike.

IMG_4518.thumb.jpeg.897d6d9409760be29095286ab539d006.jpeg

Finally, dessert was a delicious Coconut Layer Cake with a little raspberry sauce.  Yummy!

IMG_4519.thumb.jpeg.d471e79d894e22d5592af5e3bcc35f03.jpeg

Now we’re sitting in the Centrum listening to the house band.  We’re really enjoying them on this cruise.

We plan on an early turn in tonight so we’re ready for our shore excursion tomorrow - Amazing Cartagena Bay and Walled City tour.

Hahaha!  They’re playing “Grow Old With You” from The Wedding Singer in the Centrum!  These guys are great.

Looks like kids portions except for the piece of cake. So sad. 😞

Everything seems smaller.  I’m actually starting to feel hungry again.

If you have early seating for dinner in  MDR, I would surely be hitting the Windjammer before they close at 8:45pm with meals like that in the Dining Room.

I don’t think I stand much of a chance of getting a clear block on Allure, but I’m planning to ask anyway. If I don’t ask I’ll never know. Glad you were successful in getting yours.

The one we got in September on Allure was the new colored one.

We are actually in the other camp.  We always refuse the bread, and rarely have dessert.  Always more than enough for me. But could be due to the early dinner time we have been choosing, and usually have a decent filling lunch.

Though skinny Bucky loves to hit the buffet in WJ for chocolate desserts/cookies later.  😄

Loving your pictures and review my friend.

I have one clear and one color from Wonder.  Since Bucky does not like the color ones, the 2nd one is on my desk versus our usual cabinet top collection.  Makes me smile when I look at it when I am in the office.  😉

We were left 2 plates of fruit the last few days so we had that.

It bothered me that my previous picture was rotated a bit, so I retook it.

I really wanted it on Wonder.

We like the trying different appetizers in the MDR...always something new to try.  Though indeed your tempura veggies looked pretty rough.  😞

One thing I keep forgetting is the cheese plate as an appetizer...did you try that yet?

We stopped the bread last night.

Thanks!

Boggles my mind you did not get one on Wonder.  You and Pam spent a lot of time on that ship....I can attest to that.  😉 I think that is where I received my first one (clear type).

Oh no...did not want to sway you into going breadless!!  😮  😉

Though we were never a fan of the bread in the MDR...seemed "leftover" to us.

No cheese since Pam is currently dairy free under doctor’s orders.
