Good Morning and Welcome to "LIVE" from Norwegian Joy.

Welcome to Bermuda. Norwegian Joy picked up the Pilot around 7am, and approached the pier slowly at Kings Wharf around 7:45. I was kind of startled when the crew launched the "line cannon" that sends the mooring lines ashore. I've seen it happen many times, but to hear it go off close to me kind of startled me.

Passengers are free to go ashore by 8: 30.I plan to get off the ship around 10:00 am. We will be here until May 3rd at 5pm so there is no rush to get off of the ship quickly.

My plans include going to Bermuda National Aquarium Horseshoe Bay Beach and a few other places.

Here are a few pics from this morning.

Hey - welcome to Bermuda!

Joy was supposed to be docked at Heritage Wharf but what happened was, MSC Divina somewhat docked at Heritage Wharf instead of King's Wharf as scheduled last Saturday and it caused a "domino effect". NCL Gem docked at King's Wharf on Sun-Tues (instead of Heritage), and MSC Meraviglia docked at Heritage yesterday until tomorrow, instead of King's.

But all is not lost .... we have SailGP here in the Great Sound on Saturday/Sunday May 4/5, and there are some sailboats out training/practicing. Here is the screenshot of Joy's webcam - great place to watch the practices is from OL. Pity there isn't a bar there.

Hope you didn't have as much trouble opening those suckers as Mrs. Schmoopie did. You'd think they contained liquid gold for as hard as they make it to open.

Hello everyone and good day. Today was a beautiful day, and I now realize how much I have missed Bermuda.

The weather, the water, the scenery and the locals. It is very rare when all four factors are much better than you expect.

I rented a scooter and drove over to Flatts Village (Bermuda National Aquarium/Zoo) and to Southampton Parish (Horseshoe Bay Beach)

I had a wonderful time at each location, even though Horseshoe Bay Beach was very crowded. I think most of the people there were cruise passengers. I didn't get in the water so I can't tell how warm it was, but I think it was very cold. Most adults were not swimming, but there were a lot of kids swimming. Kids can swim at any water temperature.

I liked watching stingrays at the aquarium, and I always love watching the flamingos. There were many Cruise passengers there as well, but it seemed that several Local school classes were there.

I took tons of photos, but here are just a few from my first day in Bermuda.

Thanks for tuning in.

Being picky, the large "turtle" is a tortoise. 😀

All tortoises fall under the general heading of turtle, but not all turtles are tortoises.

Good morning and Welcome to DAY 5 of "LIVE" from Norwegian Joy.

It feels good to wake up in Bermuda. It especially feels good when you're on a cruise ship and waking up in Bermuda.

I was out like a light last night shortly after dinner. I did wake up however, after 4 hours of watching news. I forgot that the casino opens at 9:00 p.m. while in Bermuda. I will tell you that the casino was packed and it seemed like no one had ever been to the casino. It was very wild. No trouble, just wild and crazy.

Today, I will explore more of Sandy's Parish. My exact plans have not been decided, but I will see what the day brings. I know I would like to visit the Bermuda National Museum, here at the Royal Naval dockyard.
I may wait until tomorrow to do that.

Here are a few pics from this morning.

@Radio  Thank you, again, for posting the dailies.

I noticed that the shows Elements and the Aerialists (Mr. and Mrs. Fefelov) have not shown up in the dailies yet.   Do you know if Elements is still happening this week?

Hello everyone and good day. I had another very enjoyable day in Bermuda.  I started off at Cambridge Beaches Resort, which is in Somerset Village near Mangrove Bay National Park.

Cambridge Beaches Resort is a beautiful property and it seems like every time you turn your head, you get another postcard-like view.

There are two private pools, four private beaches, and  several lounges. I think I could stay here for a week or more.

After riding around a bit I decided to spend a little time at Glass Beach. I believe it is only about a 10 to 15 minute walk from the dockyard. I saw many Cruise passengers there enjoying the day.

Glass Beach is a pristine beach with calm, crystal clear ocean water. I heard there was a lot of colorful glass beads here but I did not come here for that. I think it is one of the most beautiful beaches I can remember.

Here or if you pics from today. Thanks for tuning in.
