When you get a free interior room and you upgrade (pay) to Concierge class room do you get the 5 points per day? This may have been covered but can’t find anything. Any help would be appreciated. Seems to me if one pays for the upgrade then they should get the associated points. Could be that you didn’t/some don’t due to the way the booing is originally shown in the system. She said it has always been that if you get a free interior room thats the points you get no matter what level you upgrade to. Seems insane to me. So if you get a free interior and upgrade to a the retreat you only get interior points? Again makes no sense you paid for the upgrade…these CS people are hit or miss and one will tell you one thing and the next one will tell you something different. Purplsmurf Posted April 30 #13 Share Posted April 30 I just called BCC. They told me that whatever cabin is booked is the points earned. If your comped room is an interior you will only get 2 pts/nt even if you pay to upgrade to a Veranda, Concierge, etc. I have to believe what she told me because we have taken 4 comped cruises so far. One was Dec 2022, two were Dec 2023 and one was April 2024. For each of them I paid to upgrade cabins and didn’t get the extra points. wrk2cruise Posted May 16 #15 Share Posted May 16 (edited) Even outside of Blue Chip if you get a reduced cost upgrade you don't get CC points for the upgraded cabin. This changed about 10 years ago even before Move UP. I was offered a reduced price RS upgrade on my Veranda GTY booking. Even though I paid $3000 for the upgrade I only got the 3 pts/day.
