Cancelling HAL cruise - need PCC?

We are looking to cancel our current 2 bookings with HAL so we can rebook through agency (looking for new maximizing reward  points). 

 

Do I need to contact our PCC for this?

 

I would rather not, since we are essentially ending our relationship at this point for the foreseeable future. 😏

You should be able to cancel on website. Make sure you are not past any non refundable payments. Also match up any offers on the current booking with what TA is providing.

I think you may have to cancel with your PCC. Or, if you made the reservations less than 60 days ago, you can transfer them to the travel agent.

OK - Just tried the "chat" feature on the website - very pleasantly surprised - very responsive and easy peasy to cancel our booking (we were more than our 60 days past booking so transfer not an option).

 

Nice to avoid calling our PCC since it seems a waste of their time  🙃

Using (or not using) travel agencies is a common topic on CC. They just can't be NAMED!

How long ago did you reserve? Up to two months can just be transferred to your agent of choice for the savings by filling out a form

You are correct,

I always book on a ship our with FCD at home , And then transfer the booking to my T.A.

Agree chat feature is great. I had to cancel a cruise due to my husband's medical issues, I used chat and it took very little time (probably 10 minutes). I received a cancellation email shortly thereafter. You can also request a transcription of entire chat, which I did just as a backup.
