Email Warning!: Massive Virus Outbreak

As I checked my daily news items I received a warning concerning a new computer virus.

Protect yourself and don't open emails if you do not have the right software.

I don't know how I would survive a day without my computer and a Cruise Critic "fix"

Here is the story:

Arno,

Thanks for the heads up. I received an email today from a friend I'm not in touch with very often. The subject line was suspicious. My Norton's antivirus caught it . I didn't open it up. Now after reading the Yahoo News article, I think that could have been one of those emails.

Arno,

If someone else on the thread had already said it, I wouldn't but no one has, so I will. If you would really not be able to survive without your computer and a Cruise Critic fix, consider buying a Mac as your next computer. There has never been a destructive virus for Macs. In fact, I have used Macs since 1984 and never had a virus attack any of them. :D

I'm a Macintosh fanatic too. You're right -- no viruses to worry about and a more mature, stable operating system.

That doesn't mean we'll never have viruses, but for now we're living the good life -- computer wise anyway.

Ditto!! I have had various Macs since 1987 and never had a virus affect my OS. My PC friends are constantly having problems with spyware and viruses.

I love my Mac. Have even converted my husband (who wrote programs on punch cards in school and his work is totally computer related writing programs, controling pipelines with computers, etc). When he retires in a couple of years and gives up his work computer, he is getting a Mac. I had to get one as no one in my family ever had time to help me and my old pc always had problems. When I got the Mac, my 3 boys and husband just about disowned me (hey, maybe that wouldn't have been a bad idea) and said they would never be able to help me (not that they did anyway). Anyway, my husband loaded up my Mac and was amazed at the ease of everything. I love my Mac!!!
