Elizanessie Posted April 24, 2007 #1 Share Posted April 24, 2007 Oh my gawd I am pooped....just in door few minutes ago...and only 1 and half hours sleep last night !!!! The Liberty is beautiful...the art work in Royal Promenade emmm....I shall just say...I didnt meet anyone who liked it. I will do pics later...but I had the most brilliant time and met all the great CC folks from our wee roll call and we had a blast. Food was fantastic ..the crew were amazing...the ship is awesome...the people I met from RCCI UK and Adam Goldstein were so friendly...and girls..the captain is only 32 yrs old and a hunk ;) I met up with lots of familiar faces from Freedom...Ken Rush...Jimmy in the Pub...Julie from Guest Relations....oh yes and Ricardo the Concierge from the Mariner....to name just a few.....it was like meeting up with family again...the hugs, the recognition....to hear someone call out your name on brand new ship....well...I have to say it brought tears to my eyes on more than one occasion. My special outfits went down a treat...even Adam Goldstein loved them. I owe a big thank you to the gentleman who invited me on this special event..Robin Shaw Managing Director of RCCI UK/Europe....Robin you really are a great guy....and I cant wait till we sail together again...and all your staff are the best. To the great CC folks..wow...what laughs and fun we had,Debs & Lloyd,Roy & Christine,Janette & Ken...you guys are fantastic people and I miss you tons already.....dont forget the reunion next year ;) To the UK Cruisers ...I will need to get back to you on our great thread....but a wee taster on that...Royal Caribbean Credit Card ;) Forgive me folks but I need some sleep. To everyone booked on the Liberty....you will love this ship, you will love the crew. Oh and to LauraS....I did give CC with mention at the big meeting, infront of a ship load of TAs and VIPs and with CC website address on my outifts and accessories. Ok now sleep

jillybabes Posted April 24, 2007 #4 Share Posted April 24, 2007 Liz, Thanks so much for the review....Look forward to seeing your pictures and the Liberty first hand...What cabin did you have??? Look forward to seeing Ricardo, when we were on the Mariner this past Dec. he told us he was going to Liberty, but I never thought I would see him this soon....Thanks again Laura and CC...Later, Jill:cool:
nanfromatlanta Posted April 24, 2007 #5 Share Posted April 24, 2007 Did you have early or late seating? Did you get to see the ice show and the theater production? What freebies did you get? Were there lots of gowns & tuxedos?

Elizanessie Posted April 24, 2007 Author #7 Share Posted April 24, 2007 Oh heck lets see what I can remember...this was only one night and sooo much going on. We had balcony 9342 No freebies Dinner was one seating at 7.30pm....only two decks open....we sat with our CC friends. Ricardo is in Concierge Lounge. We didnt have time for Theatre or Ice show....no kidding I was up and down the stairs and lifts all day and night going from one place to another meeting folks and trying to get pics. I dont think my pics will be all that great...but I do know the other CCrs all took pics also..and my mum took hundreds..but I cant check them till tomorrow. Gunnar...hey buddy...I was thinking of you while on the ship..I was remembering your review and excitement of the Freedom..and wished you could have been on Liberty. Sadly the weather wasnt very kind to us..it was darn cold and windy and sometimes wet..so we werent outside very much...and there was such a lot of the ship we didnt see...so little time and so much to go to...sorry. Oh....Casino is bigger....it doesnt have that glass floor bittie at entrance ..so it has more card tables...just remembered that from 3.15am !! We had hundreds of UK TAs onboard and sad to say, they dont/didnt know what Black Tie/Formal really meant....what I mean is...you could tell the real Cruisers in Dining Room...they wore long dresses and most of the men were in tuxes....the TAs were mainly in short black dresses. Elizanessie Posted April 24, 2007 Author #10 Share Posted April 24, 2007 Nan ...I did a reply and it went to cyberspace so will try again.:o You will have an absolute blast...it is party, fun excitement and great vibes all around from when you step on the ship till you are dragged off kicking and screaming :) I would say...try and get a decent nights sleep the night before you go...cause hecky thump you will need it...and wear comfy shoes on the ship ;) For me cruising is the people...I dont get a chance to meet CCrs very often..specially ones from "home"...and to share this event with my CC buddies made it even more special to me. It is hard trying to see it all...geez I was on Freedom for a week and then this event and I still havent seen the Spa or Gym !! I dont know what events will be held onboard for US events. We had a thing called "Common Ground"...which was held at 4pm yesterday...all the bars were closed for an hour while this was on.The head folks from RCCI Miami and UK spoke and showed us a short movie about the new ships and whats happening in the future etc with the company...and then it was question time. Our presentation was mainly about Europe and the Med..as in how we will have 7 ships here next year...and how the company is growing on this side of the pond....and of course the Independence featured a lot in this. We also had a Crown & Anchor Cocktail Party shortly after the Ice Show...this was held just before dinner at 7.30pm....and then we had Firework Display at 9.45pm and then it was time to mingle around etc before 70s Disco party on the Royal Promenade at 11.45pm. Does that give you a wee idea of how busy things were ahhaha ?
debs1204 Posted April 24, 2007 #11 Share Posted April 24, 2007 Hey Liz, how the devil are you - we are exhausted !!!! (3.50am in bed - your a bad influence)!! What a fab fab time on a fab fab ship, wasn't it just great?:D To all you lucky people yet to sail on Liberty "you will love her". Practically exactly the same as Freedom but hey if you've got a fantastic product why change it! We had a blast, and I'd also like to thank all of you CC's (Liz, Myum, Roy, Christine, Janette and Ken) you made our trip extra special and it was great meeting you all and lets hope for that reunion next year! I'm too tired to say much more I just cant concentrate, my mind is definately fogged up with lack of sleep and excess alchol (and plenty of it) I'll post a little review tomorrow when I'm feeling a little more normal, I'll even try to upload some pics......... PCD setting in here and thats after only 1 day cruising.....wish it was this time yesterday

RCCLCARIB Posted April 24, 2007 #16 Share Posted April 24, 2007 Was the shops in the Royal Promenade Open and did they have the ship models available for purchase?
Elizanessie Posted April 24, 2007 Author #17 Share Posted April 24, 2007 Some of the shops opened for couple of hours...but they were very quiet I believe as they had to add 22% VAT to the prices as we were not out at sea....so I didnt go into the shops. English Jane Posted April 24, 2007 #18 Share Posted April 24, 2007 Hi Liz, Thanks for posting so promptly, I'm glad you had such a good (if frenetic) time. No freebies then - that's a bit of a shame. Last year we (myself, husband, daughter and son) recieved silver and leather luggage tags (Links of London) inscribed with the company logo and 'Freedom of the Seas, Southampton, 2006'. I guess we were pretty lucky - at the time I thought it rather generous. I didn't like to use them on our last cruise though so they are still sitting in their boxes. jillybabes Posted April 24, 2007 #19 Share Posted April 24, 2007 Jill, did you get your invitation yet? I'm hoping ours will be here today!!! Soooooooo excited. Mimi Yes Mimi, got it yesterday and can't wait til the 14th...we are soooo excited... Hi, we're all getting very excited about sailing on the inaugural of the Liberty so we're living through all your experiences for the meantime. I was just reading your post and am wondering if you knew anyone who was in cabin JS 9298 while you were on your pre-inaugural? If anyone else reads this and has pics, could you let me know and post them? Thanks. I guess I was wondering if they had anyone in any of the suites for the pre-inaugurals or are they using only the balcony suites, (D1, E1, etc.) Thanks
