divetrash Posted January 6, 2009 #1426 Share Posted January 6, 2009 Has anyone been to the wine and food pairing? Is it worth the $15? Thanks. Absolutely. I went during my Legend Cruise in early October. It was fun and fascinating, particularly if you don't know anything about wine, other than you like to drink it. I learned some new things. It was interesting tasting the different types side by side and how food affects the taste. Worth every penny. Happy Cruising, Laura

crusinpsychRN Posted January 6, 2009 #1428 Share Posted January 6, 2009 Is there a ice machine right next to room 6232--There is a open space on the deck plans but can't figure out what is there if not an ice machine what is it. Thanks a bunch and Enjoy http://www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/Carnival/legend.php I use this site to get this info on info like this. Doesn't show any ice machines there. If you go to Glory they show them on Empress deck anyway.
cruisebie Posted January 6, 2009 #1429 Share Posted January 6, 2009 What is the most recent news? Bathrobe party or luaau? (forgive my spelling!) I'm not sure what to bring, hawaiian shirts or bathrobes. Anyone? It was a bathrobe deck party when I was there in October. Is an 11:30am flight too early? Any recent reports on debarkation issues or non-issues? jw:cool: I had an 11:25 flight on Southwest in October and was at the airport by 9:15. To be safe, I did the self assist debarkation, but I probably would have been ok with regular debark. Self assist on the Legend is well-run imho. They form one big line snaking back thru the casino & into the Follies lounge. People were pretty well behaved. No pushing and shoving or clogging the hallways that I saw. Just wondering what type of tv's are now on legend (did they upgrade to flat screen yet?) Also we have a suite and interior booked, can you tell me for interior if shower has curtain or a sliding door? Wi-fi- anyone now if a blackberry will work? We did not have a flat screen in August when we had a suite or in October when I had an interior. The interior bathrooms have a shower curtain. Only the suites have a sliding door, I think. cruisebie Posted January 9, 2009 #1435 Share Posted January 9, 2009 Are there refridgerators in the balcony cabins? Yes, there are fridges. They are actually locked mini-bars, but you can ask your steward to unlock and remove the contents.

houseflipper48 Posted January 10, 2009 #1440 Share Posted January 10, 2009 Thanks MD SUE....I know the tender only takes about 20 minutes from the ship to the port, I mean I have heard that it takes about an hour to GET OFF the ship. Because it is a tender port everyone is trying to get off at the same time and it is a zoo. Trying to get some feed back from past cruisers. Is Roatan also a tender port? Because it is a tender port everyone is trying to get off at the same time and it is a zoo. Trying to get some feed back from past cruisers. Is Roatan also a tender port? We went to Roatan and Belize on a Princess cruise 2 years ago and we docked at Roatan. I can't remember how long it took to get on the tender from the ship, but I don't think it was too bad. I know there was no line coming back. When we were on Carnival a few years before and had to get tickets for the tenders with a departure time- that was kind of a pain in the neck. When you get back, I hope you'll post and let me know how it was getting off.

I don't recall it taking a really long time to get off in either one. Have fun! We love the Legend!:D

We just got back this past Sunday and it didn't take long at all to get on the tender boat at Belize. They had lots of tender boats running and as a matter of fact we had to wait for some more people to get on before we left the ship. We docked at Rotan, I highly recommend Fins and Flippers in Rotan. Great place and absolutely beautiful with good food and good prices.
