Favorite Carnival Excursion

Passion Island in Cozumel was my favorite excursian. My DH and I have done it twice now, and plan on going back in September. The reason I liked it so much was, it is beautiful. That is where the Corona Commercial was filmed. Remember the one where the guy throws his pager in the ocean? Not only is it beautiful, but it is a good place to swim. The sand is nice and the water is so blue/green. Also, another reason passion island is my fav is because they feed you. The best quacomole in the world! My dh loved the fact that they had free Corona's there. I am so looking forward to going back in September...

I actually have three.

The DePalm island excursion (1999 and 2000) in Aruba was so good we went twice. Great snorkeling and a great place to hang out. (I've since read that it has gone down hill.)

The Cozumel Snorkel, Sail, and Beach Party (1998)was good as well. The weather we had was rain but the crew took us to a great place to snorkel and then to a beach with all the toys and an open bar.

The Caterman Cruise in Antigua (1999) was the best of the three and is due to the great crew we had. They took us out to a barrier reef to snorkel, then went on a little sail, and ended up at a beach.

Sorry I can't let you know any recent excursions since our 2005 cruise, we did on our own from recomendations from this board.:)

You also might want to try Paradise Beach. We used to do the Passion Island excursion everytime we went to Coz. The we discovered PB. While it its not all inclusive like Passion Island since we are not big drinkers (couple beers for DH and couple of foofoo drinks for me) we come out better doing Paradise Beach on our own. You can also order food and everything I have ordered has been really good. No admission charge unless you want to use the water toys. Nice clean restrooms and comfy lounges chairs with umbrellas.

The big plus to me is that the 2 hrs spent getting to and back from Passion Island can be spent laying on the Beach at Paradise Beach plus time leftover for that all important shopping in Coz.

Loved the Carnival excursion "River rafting in Costa Rica". Had a blast, even though we almost wiped out when our raft smashed into a rock wall - even the guide was shaken up:eek: But it was something we will never forget! (also - swimming in that same river with "friendly" pirahnas (kissing cousins of the biting ones!!)

  • 3 weeks later...

My best carnival excursion was free at the port of New Orleans prior to boarding. They escorted me to the cargo loading area, where they removed two stoways from my luggage. Seems Mr. Cruervo and Mr. Beam didn't have tickets and were not allowed to board via my packed luggage. Expecting to be water boarded and banned from cruising for life, I was quite pleased with their "Gee, I'm really sorry to bother you" attitude with this excursion. None the less, I don't recomend it.
