Carnival is 'The Fun Ship"...but it is missing one thing

All these 'little' xtras EACH cost money. Right now Carnival gives far and away, the most bang for the buck of any cruiseline. Now or historically. I can cruise without any of the xtras mentioned. Many of which are and have been available for ages. I vote for keeping the best value on the seas.

I am begining to agree...

We just returned from an NCL One Night CTN out of NYC-

Embarkation Photos $22-

On board Photos $15

Both the same size

Bucket of Beer (Corona) $32-

Drinks- Hurricane, Passion Fish, Margerita- $10-each.. In fact the Passion Fish was$12-

Casino- Min bets at tables $25/up- Now I understand raising the minimums as the casino fills up at night, but immediately upon opening??

Two Black Jack Tables.. 1- Min $25 the other- Min $100 bet

Carnival needs to have an "adult type scavenger hunt game" like Quest on RC. It's held in the middle of the night and it is an absolute riot. The most "fun" I've had on a ship!!:D

I agree!

We just came off the NCL one night CTN and went to the Quest! First time but we have seen it on youtube.. OMG.. I can not remember the last time I laughed so much and so hard...

Amen to that one, but since no one but those born and raised in the South GETS the seriousness of college football (i.e. sides are chosen by age 2) I don't see them adding it any time soon.

BTW, as an Auburn grad I hope y'all stomp the bejesus out of Alabama this weekend!

In early December of '06 we were on the Miracle and watched the Gators win! Lots of fans and alumni. It was so much fun! At one point when the QBthrew the ball I hollered "Interception!" And sure enough, Gators intercepted. Great time in the sports bar.

Escargot every night! It wasn't available on the 4 night Inspiration. I was told only on the 5 night.

I truly wish a ship would offer both Coke and Pepsi products to appeal to everyone.

I will also second the hot breakfast on the room service menu - I would like to wake up to that!! Or just more items on the room service menu.

I have had the dubious honor of spending THOUSANDS of nights in hotels in my career. Probably not a dozen hotels as large as a cruise ship today. I have had many "hot" breakfasts from room service. They seldom were "HOT," toast, bacon, eggs just do not hold heat well. A dinner of something like fried or baked chicken, mashed spuds & gravy and a veggie would give you hot spuds and chicken and rapidly cooling veggies. [even today I usually eat all my veggies first] Veggies don't hold heat, potatoes and chicken do.

With a full hot meal being served in the DR or the buffet every 45 seconds or so, anything more than snacks and sandwiches on "ruin sorbees" is overkill.

My DH is a college professor and basketball coach. We cruise after school is out in the middle of May. Even though we live basketball October 1 to March/April, he can not get enough sports. So a sports bar with something on TV, other than soccer, would be great for him.

Especially when the Boston Celtics were playing in the post season last year.

Sports bar definately needs to chill out with the soccer. B--O--R--I--N--G! Football and baseball........please!!! And I would love to see at least one night of country music and line dancing in one of the clubs.

I was surfing the carnivalentertainment.com site earlier and noticed they are currently hiring country acts for the ships so it looks like this one is being addressed already! Good stuff.

I know that you mean well with the church services but there will be some people on board that will say it is infringing on their beliefs or nonbeliefs. you know how the world is today and nothing will stop it unitl its time too!! So go ahead and have your services in maybe a lounge or somewhere that they will let you. I'm all for it because if I like it I will stay if not i will leave and not put a protest to it just to show how stupid (they ) can be!! I'm not calling anyone stupid on here just the ones that would protest to you having church services!!

okay, I really like the idea of the beer pub, the "chip and dale" dancers,

non-smoking area, but how about an ADULT-ONLY Pool area? I live in Fl and several of us were discussing our past cruises TODAY while swimmning in our warm, beautiful Sept. pool water (sorry , had to throw that in for my northern friends). One couple said they'd been on several cruises on different cruise lines. They went on one Carnival cruise one June with about 800 high school seniors from around the country. The kids took over the pool areas. They said, "never again."

Okay here is my wish list

1. both PEPSI and Coke products offered in a soda machine 24/7 with a swipe card slot so you can swipe your drink card. This will let my boyfriend and I not have to carry a 12 pack with us every cruise. I like coke but I love Pepsi and Dr. Pepper.

2. Better sports bar with a microbrewery. the sports bar are way to small and somewhat hidden I would like to be able to watch other sports besides Soccer and enjoy a nice draft beer with onion rings Oh yeah :p

3. The lazy river sounds nice that goes around the edge of the pool deck be able to look down to see the ocean while you are swimming along.

4. Different shows and more big name comedians. I like the shows but I would love to see some big name comedians.

5. More let it ride tables in the casino. that is my game and sometimes it is full up that I can not play it. I suck at all the rest of the table games.

6. Bigger shopping areas like an actual mall with mall type store like bath and body works so just in case I forgot to pack my black raspberry vanilla lotion I can go to the store on board to get it.

7. Change destinations to not include Bahamas all the time. that is a sea day for me. Maybe do more exotic cruises ie Hong Kong Austrailia. If Hong Kong comes around I can go visit my brother and my friends that live there. I know I can go on Princess or other lines but I am stuck on Carnival.

I think that is it for now I might find something else but those are some of my main ideas.

I have enjoyed all my Carnival cruises, but if I could add one thing it would be a lazy river on lido deck. I would LOVE to float around all day, drink in hand, and just relax! I think it would help with the chair hog situation too.

AWESOME idea! I would so ditto that one!
