woohooTOO Posted October 29, 2008 #1 Share Posted October 29, 2008 Wife and I are booked on the Star Princess departing Sydney Oct 24 2009 for a 30 day South Pacific cruise to Los Angeles. We booked round trip flights through Princess. First time booking a flight through Princess. If we ask to change the flight to arrive a day or two before the departure will Princess give me a problem? I am gathering information before I call Princess. I will report back with my experience. Ken076 Posted October 29, 2008 #2 Share Posted October 29, 2008 I believe you have to then sign-up for their custom air program, maybe another $50pp for the service plus the difference in airfare. Check the Princess brochure or website. ken
chrysalis Posted October 29, 2008 #3 Share Posted October 29, 2008 actually, I think that it is $75 per person for overseas flights....plus the difference in airfare. You can pick the flights/airlines you want, if you wish.
paul929207 Posted October 29, 2008 #4 Share Posted October 29, 2008 Princess calls it a flight deviaton. And yes, they will charge you $75 per person plus any difference in the airfare for the original flights. I would cheack on the cost of booking your own before calling Princess. Toto2Kansas Posted October 29, 2008 #5 Share Posted October 29, 2008 I agree, they will charge you $75 pp for the deviation from the regular air. this does give you a bit more of a choice, but keep in mind if the flight you choose is a different price from the original, you are responsible for paying the difference. Usually you can find one that is the same price, but it can happen. Good Luck!
katisdale Posted October 29, 2008 #6 Share Posted October 29, 2008 I have only started to use Princess air once. If you decide to go in to the departure port early AND choose to stay in their hotel (expensive per person rate) they will let you rearrange your air and not pay the deviation fee. However, I later dropped their air and did my own since I could save some money.
bubbadog Posted October 30, 2008 #7 Share Posted October 30, 2008 you are almost always better off doing your own air,and will save money too,and you are seated together,in the front of the plane,so take some time and look at airfares for your trip;)
