Gator0178 Posted February 24, 2009 #1 Share Posted February 24, 2009 DW and I are doing Nachi Cocum on Cozumel in March and wanted some feedback from people who have been and your thoughts. Thanks in advance!:D
dms42 Posted February 24, 2009 #2 Share Posted February 24, 2009 Look under the Ports of Call forums: Cozumel. There is a thread there for Nachi Cocom. Here is the link: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=909938
MA cruisers Posted February 24, 2009 #3 Share Posted February 24, 2009 we were a group of ten adults there in early October and we loved it. The food and service were outstanding. Great margaritas!! Have fun. So jealous.
ottawapuppy Posted February 24, 2009 #4 Share Posted February 24, 2009 DW and I are doing Nachi Cocum on Cozumel in March and wanted some feedback from people who have been and your thoughts. Thanks in advance!:D LOVED, LOVED, LOVED Nachi Cocum. I doubt we would ever consider going somewhere else while in Cozumel. It is not crowded since they limit the number of people who can get in each day. The service is outstanding, the servers come by often for drinks. The food is a la carte and included in the price and is delicious. You can dine at your chair on the beach, or in the restaurant. (We had chips and guacamole on the beach, then moved to the dining area for lunch.) The beach is clean and there is a pool if you prefer. They do massages on the beach which are fairly priced. We have pictures of Nachi Cocom posted on our web site at http://web.me.com/thecruiseguys. Check out the photos from our Enchantment of the Seas 2008 cruise and our Celebrity Century cruise. Rare silentbob007 Posted February 24, 2009 #5 Share Posted February 24, 2009 I was just at Nachi on Saturday and had a great time. Cabs were $15 each way and about a 10-15 minute ride. The food and drinks were excellent. My server wasn't the best, but I think he had a lot of people to take care of on the day I was there. Probably the biggest negative we ran into were the people seated next to us who were chain smokers.
Let'sGo! Posted February 24, 2009 #6 Share Posted February 24, 2009 This is a great place to hang out. Definitely our favorite beach spot. You can see all the crowds at the all the other beach clubs just down the way. Would definitely recommend!
newcruiser9591 Posted February 24, 2009 #7 Share Posted February 24, 2009 In reading the posts, I am assuming that this must be booked independently and is not one of the RCCL excursions (at least I don't remember it from their listing). It sounds devine and I hope I can get my DH interested in going. By looking at some of the photos are there enough umbrella thingies for everyone - I can only tolerate a small amount of sun. will work to cruise Posted February 24, 2009 #8 Share Posted February 24, 2009 Went last June and had a great time. Food was good, pool was fun and beach was great. There were only a dozen or so people there.

You have to make the reservations through IslandMarketing which entails submitting a request. If there's space on your date, you will be sent a link to make a deposit via credit card. The balance is then due in cash when you arrive. Everyone gets a piece of shade I believe. I definitely spent the majority of my time there as I was not going to spend hours in the sun. BalconyPrincess Posted February 24, 2009 #12 Share Posted February 24, 2009 Nachi is a real life Corona commercial. There were less than 20 people there when we went last April, and I believe there were 4 ships in port that day. I don't think I'd go anywhere else ever again in Cozumel. Grayce Posted February 24, 2009 #15 Share Posted February 24, 2009 We were at Nachi in September and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Great beach, great food and drinks, clean bathrooms and not crowded. They limit the number of people that they take each day.

LouisvilleDon Posted February 24, 2009 #17 Share Posted February 24, 2009 We will be there in October. What is the cost per person to go? Thanks
Gator0178 Posted February 24, 2009 Author #18 Share Posted February 24, 2009 It is $49/pp includes all you can drink, 3 course meal and they limit the resort to a MAX of 100 people. You have full access to beach, chairs, pool, etc and you have the opportunity to also sign up for excursions (at an additional cost) like snorkel, scuba, massage, etc. You also have to take a taxi from the cruise pier. I understand it is $15 each way for up to 4 people.
brilliantseas Posted February 24, 2009 #19 Share Posted February 24, 2009 How does Nachi Cocum compare to Mr. Sancho's? We went to Mr. Sancho's last time and loved it, but Nachi looks really nice as well.
Ollie_WA Posted February 24, 2009 #20 Share Posted February 24, 2009 We will be there basking in the sun, one month from today...I can hardly wait...and reading all this great info just has me more excited now!!!! :D
lmmn Posted February 24, 2009 #21 Share Posted February 24, 2009 We loved it! Our day was a bit messed up because of daylight savings time change/ship time and local time. There was a two hour difference, which made for a very short day there :(.
aucruiser Posted February 24, 2009 #22 Share Posted February 24, 2009 Another vote for Nachi! We were there in December for the first time. Even though the weather was cloudy the whole day, our small group of 7 had a great time. I would definitely go back.

Winegirl58 Posted February 25, 2009 #24 Share Posted February 25, 2009 We will be in Cozumel first week in June. My plans were to find a beautiful snorkeling beach in Cozumel, since the snorkeling is supposed to be fantastic. But this place sounds devine! I would love to go here, but I really want to snorkel. Does this place have any snorkeling? If so, do they supply to mask/snorkel/fins? Thanks!
aucruiser Posted February 25, 2009 #25 Share Posted February 25, 2009 They have a snorkeling excursion that leaves from the beach at Nachi. It costs extra and you can book beforehand through the Island Marketing web site or, a salesman will come around when you arrive at the beach offering the snorkeling excursion along with other options. I believe that I read that it costs a little more if you wait until you are there to book the excursions.
