JaneBP Posted May 5, 2009 #1 Share Posted May 5, 2009 Anyone considering this cruise? 4 sea days! Again some good deals.
HotRoot Posted May 5, 2009 #2 Share Posted May 5, 2009 We booked it a month ago. Prices were great and we had free air from USAir from an overbooked flight. It is a great opportunity to try out the new ship. And all of the kinks should be worked out by then.
JaneBP Posted May 5, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted May 5, 2009 Well, I whipped out my CC without a second thought. Might have some later, but will see. I like the itinerary, too, which is mostly unimportant to me since I rarely get off the ship in the Carribean.
floridaphilly Posted May 5, 2009 #4 Share Posted May 5, 2009 We are booked on this cruise as well. We just cancelled the Legend crossing to book this. It seemed ideal with 4 sea days plus the new ship. Also Seabourn upgraded us to a balcony when we paid our deposit within 24 hours. Too good a deal to refuse. JaneBP Posted May 5, 2009 Author #5 Share Posted May 5, 2009 Good idea. I have toyed with the idea of canceling the Legend crossing, but don't think I will, although I have the Civitavecchia-Lisbon itinerary. That might be enough.
JaneBP Posted July 9, 2009 Author #6 Share Posted July 9, 2009 Thought this should be resurrected as a Roll Call. We finalize in a few weeks. Any more CC'ers joining Jane and Fred and HotRoot and FloridaPhilly?
marienbad Posted July 9, 2009 #7 Share Posted July 9, 2009 We too are on this cruise. Count us in your roll call. Gloria and Steve
bertro Posted July 22, 2009 #8 Share Posted July 22, 2009 my wife and I are probably booking the cruise tomorrow. We were on the Legend last year and loved it. Bertro
JaneBP Posted July 22, 2009 Author #9 Share Posted July 22, 2009 Great! I started a 'real' roll call since I thought this thread might fade away and we'd miss some cruisers.

bertro Posted July 23, 2009 #13 Share Posted July 23, 2009 My wife and I just booked the cruise today. We don't know whether to get Seabourn's trip insurance or another one. Any advice? Looks like a great trip. Bertro
james j feller Posted July 23, 2009 #14 Share Posted July 23, 2009 BERTRO, We also booked this cruise and we took out travel insurance through our TA it cost much less than SEABOURN'S and has more coverage. JIM
JaneBP Posted July 23, 2009 Author #15 Share Posted July 23, 2009 I think the website is http://www.insuremytrip.com for comparison. I usually use Access 'something or other' to be sure to be covered for a pre-existing condition. It pays to check. I am sure others will have some opinions. Srr you at the Sail Away! pvgal Posted July 25, 2009 #16 Share Posted July 25, 2009 Bob and I have booked this cruise. We have never done a Seabourne as usually too expensive. But this we could not pass up. And we like the larger ship. See you all on board. Eileen
jafbrad Posted July 25, 2009 #17 Share Posted July 25, 2009 Jeanne and I have also booked this cruise deciding the discounted fare seemed quite the bargain. Fred
bertro Posted July 28, 2009 #18 Share Posted July 28, 2009 Thanks for responding and I will check the insurance you suggested. Looking forward to the cruise. We have visited Turks before on another seabourn cruise and there is not much to do there, but the other stops are great. Sometimes people post pictures of their trip on line. Hope they do it with Oddessy. Bernie
V and S Posted August 2, 2009 #19 Share Posted August 2, 2009 We are booked on this cruise, also. We've never sailed Seabourn before, and are so excited. Veronica and Steven
james j feller Posted August 2, 2009 #20 Share Posted August 2, 2009 V and S Get ready for a great experience. We sailed SEABOURN just one time and we were spoiled for life. Sailed all the other lines but SEABOURN beat them all including CRYSTAL. See you on the ship. JIM and MAXINE
bkwats Posted August 2, 2009 #21 Share Posted August 2, 2009 We are also booked for this trip - our 1st on Seabourn, and we are quite excited! Is this considered the official roll call? Cheryl and Gary

JaneBP Posted August 4, 2009 Author #23 Share Posted August 4, 2009 Yes, this is the Roll Call and we do have a wonderful cadre of new and 'old' Cruise Critic Members on the cruise. Now we shall need to decide where and when to meet. Perhaps 10-is in the Seabourn Square on the first sea day? Or perhaps the card room if there are no bridge lessons. Maybe one of the Odyssey cruisers will suggest a place. Since Host Dan will be on in November, perhaps we can 'deputize' him to find the best spot. Can't wait, that's for sure!
