I think that gives us 26. Corrections, please.

As far as a get together, we are sun people and will be in the sun at 10 am on the first sea day unless it is raining. We would vote for sail away.

Shore tours - We have booked the swimming with the turtles in Barbados through Seabourn. Every place else we will just take our box lunch and go to the beach. We are sun and beach people. Southern Illinois is pretty cold in December.

And, so you don't have to ask the question, I come from a long line of Horseradish farmers - thus, Hotroot. We are not farmers but do still own the family farm land and renting to horseradish farmers pay for my travel fix.

I count 28, but I haven't had any caffeine yet. Great crowd! My own opinion is that the sail-away with >400 cruisers will be frenetic. The band will be playing and it is always noisy and there might not be space for 26 of us at one area.Would it be more convenient to meet for cocktails later in the first sea day? What does everyone think?

Drinks before dinner on the first sea day sounds great to us.

What do the rest of you think? Drinks before dinner on the first sea day? I bet I can snag the card room or other spot and then if there is a cocktail party (? Captain's party) we can agree to meet an hour or so before that hour. I should think that by arranging it the first day, we might get some hors d'oeuvres and champers too. I shall ask Host Dan to reconnoiter and advise.

But we need a consensus.

With that many people someone should reserve a lounge one evening and plan a CC cocktail party.

It's already in the works. I am also going to beg Host Dan to scope out the best venue. I thought the card room, but if there are electronics there.... Hopefully, there won't be any chikldren of that age onboard, They should be in school!

Jane

You may want to visit with Vitor, Hotel Manager, as to your CC party.

I'm going to host a small cocktail party during the Odyssey Crossing and plan on talking with Vitor as to venue, etc. When I return I'll e-mail you and give you the "scoop" ~~

Jane,

With that many people I can't beleive that they would not let you use the forward lounge -- as you may remember Martha was able to reserve it for her "Oh Come All Ye Thirsty" party a few years ago when we were all on that Carribbean cruise together.

I have things organized in my mind, and having learned from the best, figured could wait until someone finds the best cocktail party location and then contact the HM.

I certainly am looking forward to meeting everyone.

I hope they didn't cancel because of the bad reports on the other thread. Think positive!

WOW! Terrific! Almost 7% of the entire passengers, assuming a full cruise!

HI JANE, Don't forget us, we are looking forward to being back on the Odyssey. I have been shocked to read about "Problems". We did not see these problems during the inagural. I am sure SB will work it all out. Children running all over the ship....that is not good. I am hoping that gets worked out too as that is a deal breaker for us. We want peace and quiet "club atmosphere". We will be on Pride "Rivers of Western Europe" in Sept. Have been wondering how we will feel about it after the beauty, newness of the Odyssey. We'll see....I suppose we should all just be happy we are the lucky ones travelling at all. Thats the attitude. ;)
