My FCC has expired! What happens to my $100

Just realized that the FCC I bought 4 years ago has expired. For various reasons we have not been able to cruise in the past few years - sob sob. What happens to my $100? Will Princess mail it back to me?

Unfortunately, no. If you don't use it, you lose it, just like OBC.

Wow, I was definitely under the impression that they would return it to you, also that you could cancel anytime within that four years and have it refunded.

The OP is outside the 4 years. :confused:

In order nto get it refunded tou have to use it or cancel it before the end of the four year period.

I, too, was told when I purchased mine that, if it didn't get used in the four years, it would be refunded. I believe the words she used were, "No risk."

Oh dear - I'm sorry now that I did not get it refunded but I kept hoping we would be able to cruise this year. I was hoping the $100 would be automatically refunded at the end of the 4 years.

FCC's are fully refundable. But I was under the impression that you need to contact princess to take care of this as I don't think it's automatically refunded. I would check if your FCC is still showing up on your Circle Savings account (even though expired) and if it is call Princess ASAP and have the $100 refunded to your credit card.

I have some older FCCs that do not say this at the bottom. The one I purchased in June of this year says "If you do not use your future cruise deposit in the allocated four years, it will automatically be refunded back in the form it was purchased." How long ago did it expire?

Here's a thought.....

 

Call Princess and ask them to extend it for another four years.

I have been told be a TA who sells mucho Princess that Princess will do this if asked....

You can call them today - they are open 7 days a week until 10PM Eastern time.

I was told 9 days ago on the CB that you will automatically get a refund upon expiration. I still think it would be A good idea to contact Princess.

True... my FCC had been charged to a credit card that I no longer owned. They had to research it, but I eventually got a check in the mail.

I am one of those people Princess designed the FCC program for - I thought I'd lose it, so just before it ran out I booked a cruise for a year from now.:D

I just read over my last FCC that was purchased in January 2009. Not a word on it about it being refunded automatically if not used in the 4 years before it expires. :confused:
