I am sorry the OP did not like his dining experience. We have always asked - and gotten- paper menus in any and every CCL dining room. And they were waiting for us on the table from then on. I never use my phone for menus, fun times, etc. Can't read it at my age. There are many other cruise lines out there that will have leather or vinyl bound menus if that makes or breaks a cruise.

We do the same. Especially on cruise ships. Don't want to bring home any "souvenirs." Great review and pictures. Enjoy the first sleep back in your bed.

Very true. We did have trouble, and the reason we did not book a "summer-ish" cruise was because they all seemed to be some kind of Casino offer- and tons of kids also - lol!

We have definitely avoided booking on any kind of premiers/ultra/elite offers. Unfortunately we are booked on one in January as it was the only cruise that fit into our "time slot." Ugh.

I was all in for this hotel/part of the trip - but you just lost me with the communal bath. Nope - not happening!

I think the major issue was that you booked a private excursion. As a result, you were at the mercy of all those who booked through Carnival, as they got priority tendering. While private tours are usually less expensive, (and sometimes less crowded than CCL excursions) you are not guaranteed getting to the private tour on time - or getting back in time to make the departure time of the ship. BTW - what port was this?

Loved our bucket-list Alaska cruise on CCL! That is one of the few I said I would do again in the future. Looks like you have one of the extended (bowling alley) balconies? We had that also. Looking forward to seeing what excursions you are doing.

Really enjoyed your review - safe travels home. On the "banana" note - I have found that by the last day or 2 of all our cruises yes - they have no bananas! Or if they do, they are brown and icky. That should be my worst problem in life - lol!

Bucket list cruise for us - hopefully someday.! Can't wait to read about your adventures. Hoping you have good weather.
