  1. Free? It is far from free for those of us who pay taxes. It would be best to say no further charge required.
  2. That is the big mystery when ordering drinks from the dining room. I assume because they are so over worked/busy slinging food and drinks attention to detail often is lost. Kind of funny your statement of it is the first thing on the computer screen they see and yet often when I order a drink on board they ask "Do you want to use a voucher"? Me: Uh...no...I like to save those until they expire?
  3. Impressive streak. Thanks for sharing.
  4. I would be hesitant if I were you using a voucher in the MDR. It is hit and miss as to whether they charge you or not. If you don't mind standing in line at Guest Services to get it changed, go for it. I personally bring a drink to dinner these days to avoid the issue.
  5. It is quite baffling to me the amount of people who desire to go on a cruise ship and physically get in a pool or hot tub. After taking well over 100 voyages to date, I actually don't think I have ever jumped into a pool or hot tub. Clearly, it is disgusting on land and sea to get in these community cesspools.
  6. The number 10 bus is exactly $1.00 each way however be sure when you board it is bus #10 and not 10A...10A takes you to a sketchy area of town. While in Baha Mar, you can gamble at the super nice casino with all the latest games. I usually bring my wife and she sits out at the pool pays cash for a drink and snacks. No one (about 10 trips) has questioned us as we have walked around the pool areas and shopping.
  7. Well, the replacement ports the ships are going to are full of people who need the money too.
  8. It is a weird question, of course they got a sea day or went to a substitute port. The only other choice would be for the ship to come back early and that isn't going to happen lol....
  9. Should be interesting, Celebrity came out with Le Petite Chef...similar to this and it was a fun experience and worth the up charge.
  10. Somewhat similar to what you are asking, on a recent Carnival cruise the Guest brought an air mattress and inflated it outside on their balcony.
  11. In essence you contradict yourself. You say free drinks are hurting the bottom line and then you proceed to point out the great windfall Royal generates from its alcohol revenue. Now why is that? Maybe free drinks spur on paid drinks? Let's say I normally don't drink but then I feel compelled to get my 4...so this causes me to eventually drink 6 resulting in a wash or possibly a win in revenue. The fact is, the program is working quite well. No one at Corporate has screamed the crown and anchor loyalty program is killing us. The only one screaming are the armchair loyalty program specialist on this board who are convinced they can build a better mouse trap.
  12. I saw you mentioned before your offers are down...not sure what to make of it. I am sure there are variables associated with the offers. Maybe the fact I go on other comped cruises with Carnival factors in? Celebrity will soon sail out of PC so that will make it easier than going all the way to Fort Lauderdale/Miami.Looking forward to that!
  13. Keep spinning...you clearly stated it is your belief they may soon provide a 50-60 dollar credit in lieu of free drinks. I said to that "believe what you want" no where did I dispute earnings report break downs.
  14. They have not decreased for me. If anything, I am getting more.
