Has anyone won a lot from the quarter shovel machine?

just curious as I pumped about ten dollars of quarters in there, got a few back here and there. I was wondering if anyone won those bills that hang over? Or any amount that was worth me playing it again next time, lol!

The machine where you eye the needle through the hole with iPads, money hanging etc., I actually I heard someone won an iPad.

I've won $25.00 but I think I spent about close to that. I usually buy $20.00 and at till all the quarters run out

On the first revenue cruise of the Allure of the Seas, the casino workers didn't know they were supposed to rearrange the bills every night. I was ahead $290 before the machines were empty of everything except quarters.

Wow didnt know they rearrange the bills every night, thought people were winning them.

Alsways thought this had a low payout and you just confirmed it. thanks

There was a thread on here about a year ago that gave pretty good proof these games are actually fixed and manipulated by the casino.

DOH! All games are fixed and manipulated by casinos,s or they would not be able to afford to continue operting:D:D:D

On land there has to be a government regulated return on % spent, at sea all bets are off so to speak:)

That's not true, the Casino meets the regulations of the Nevada Gaming Control Board.

That being said, the quarter game is just a bad Rate of Return, but my wife loves it.

So you honestly believe that an internationally registered ship adheres to the Regulations of "The Nevada Gaming Control Board" Why is that:confused: Will the Clark county sheriffs department raid them in Mexico:confused: lol

On Carnival Freedom last month

I watched a woman win the $2500 bundle of cash on the keyhole on her 2nd try.

That machine was busy the rest of the cruise but never saw someone win again.

This guy won $2,500 right before our eyes -on Valor!

The rate of return is not bad -it's downright lousy

but my wife -like yours- enjoys it! It gives our girls a thrill..

We "invested" about $40 one cruise.

Every quarter you win goes right back into the machine. :D

This machine gets Carnival 100% profit!

That big stash of bills you see.. is merely 25 x $1-bills. Huge deal if you win THAT! :D

I'd love to see a link for where you got this. Cruise ship casinos aren't regulated by anyone and are known for having the worst payouts in the world.

That's why I play table games and ignore the slots for the most part... Table games are standard all over.... Now, video poker is another story..You can increase your odds by proper play...BUT!...The machines generally have lower payouts to begin with, so you are behind the 8 ball to start...With that said...LUCK can and does come into view...My sister won 1000 on a slot machine her first cruise and my lady friend hit for 1800 on a slot machine on the Dream last year...

That'sthe first place I would run during one of those famous ship tilts, wave rolls, or pier bumps.

Inaccurate. The pay out is very low on slots 67. Vegas some cAsinoes is 97

No way they are regulated by Nevada

My wife loves to play these too. On our last cruise I took note of the position of the stacks of bills late one night, showed my wife, and the next morning showed her the stacks at the back of the machine, pointing out that the casino crew moved them.

No, it didn't stop her from playing, but the idea of playing is for the fun of it, right?:p

I did win the stack of ones once, but I am sure I put that money in at some point. On Princess I won a $5 chip, I took it to the Roulette table and was up $100, then my husband, otherwise known as the "cooler" came over. I should have stopped when I was ahead, but thought if I could turn $5 into $100, what could I do with a $100. Didn't quite work out that way.

Now, I might play a couple of dollars of quarters, it can be a good way to kill time.
