RoofingPrincess Posted December 10, 2012 #2 Share Posted December 10, 2012 On nearly every cruise I've been on during the last few years, there has been a sign near the check-in area, and another near the guest services desk onboard, that state that the ship is full. The implicit message, don't bother asking about an upgrade now. So if you want a different cabin than the one you have now, the time to act (and pay) is now. Rare Keith1010 Posted December 10, 2012 #3 Share Posted December 10, 2012 If you want an upgrade and are willing to pay then I would do it sooner rather then later. Keith
CruiserBruce Posted December 10, 2012 #4 Share Posted December 10, 2012 Just remember, if you ask, you will pay the full cabin rate, usually. If the cruise line asks, you will get it for free (an upgrade) or for a usually reduced rate (an upsell).
