Romel is one of the VERY best.

He has been on the Star for many years.

We would love to see him again.

I assume that Hugo (HD) is on vacation.

I got off the Star on 26th June and the list of officers given Davesgirl is totally different from the officers who were on board from 12th June until 26th June. So, there is little point in my posting the list I was going to post. Assume that Hugo, Matthias etc all left for their leave on 26th June and are away for the next 8 weeks or thereabouts.

Kostas left on June 12. Mattias (as opposed to Matthias) Andersson came on board June 12 and was there when we disembarked on June 26. He is outstanding, personable, friendly, approachable and enjoys sharing his wealth of Scandinavian knowledge. :)

Interesting, both Matthias Holz and Hugo Vanosmael were on the Star on our May 11th cruise. Matthias was introduced as a F & B Manager taking over for Vik during his leave. He only lasted 1 month? I wonder what the story is.

I will say, I never got even a smile out of Hugo let alone a hello or any response to my "Ask Hugo" questions. He was definitely not the Hugo I have heard people rave about - both on CC and on board. I thought Cesar (Exec. Housekeeper) was fantastic. He knew the room stewards who worked for him and was very personable.

Yes, Suzie, he is. Way above and beyond.

We had dinner with Hugo once on the Dawn many yrs ago. We enjoyed dining with him. Several yrs later we reconnected with him on the Breakaway. He remembered us and sent us an invitation to eat at Cagneys. We were pleasantly surprised. We will miss him.

Matthias worked in the corporate office the last years and just filled in before leaving NCL.

How sad....first Jenny Lim ..now Hugo....NCL is loosing good people lately . :(
