Esprit Posted April 28, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 28, 2017 Carnival share price currently £47.44. What on earth is causing the steady rise in value in recent months?
davecttr Posted April 28, 2017 #2 Share Posted April 28, 2017 The cruise market is buoyant. Carnival dividends are in dollars so you get more for your pound. It was £22 when I bought mine :D For me it is a good investment even if I don't go on P&O cruises and with shareholder on board credits the interest rate is impressive, the best £2200 I have ever invested. simonpjd Posted April 29, 2017 #3 Share Posted April 29, 2017 It is now quite expensive to buy the 100 shares you need to get extra OBC. One of my better purchases. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
terrierjohn Posted April 29, 2017 #4 Share Posted April 29, 2017 Carnival share price currently £47.44. What on earth is causing the steady rise in value in recent months? A lot of the rise is due to the fall in the value of sterling, Carnival's share price is mainly determined in New York, the London price reflects that dollar value. Well factor that out the rise is still impressive. Sent from my SM-G930F using Forums mobile app

So glad I converted a rubbish performing Aberdeen Asset Management bond in 2001 to shares in P&O Princess Cruises Plc and adopted the dividend reinvestment scheme. kevinyork Posted April 30, 2017 #7 Share Posted April 30, 2017 Well the Carnival shares look to be a bargain compared to Royal Caribbean which is currently $106 per share. That's around a £8500 investment to get shareholder benefits. Luckily we bought ours at $31 per share. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
