Best ship for short cruise?

Personally I love the Fantasy class ships. These are the ones that do the 3 & 4 day short cruises. Love the size of the ships and have newer been disappointed. Sorry I can't really pick one over another since they are all pretty much the same.

A lot of them do a 5 day and these are the ones I would pick. Unless you are limited on time the 5 days usually cost about the same as 4. I have sailed on 36 carnival cruises and out of the smaller ships I prefer the Elation even though it has never had the upgrades but the shows are great and the employees are the best!

Triumph does 4 and 5 day itineraries, has balconies, has 2.0 upgrades. Can't speak for the shows as I don't go, but I do like the pool areas and the band's that play nightly on promenade by casino bar. Food was better to me than the one that goes on short cruises out of New Orleans..Elation??

I think Triumph would be the best. Amazing shows in the theater. They go all out to entertain you, even though it does only 4 & 5 day cruises. Plus, the ship got the branded food places that some people totally love, without losing the good entertainment in the process.

But if you would prefer a smaller ship, Paradise seems to be a popular one. Many people who sail it really love that the ship has been untouched by this 2.0 campaign. Many people feel that because of that, it is hanging onto the good things of cruises from the last decade that the 2.0 ships have totally lost. Paradise definitely does not need an upgrade. It sounds to me that she is perfect just like she is.

Well at least you narrowed down what a short cruise is, 5 days, the Fascination, has balconies, easy embarkation, goes to the infamous HMC, I too love the Fantasy class ships. Have a great cruise on what ever you decide.

A short cruise to me is 3 days, and I wont take one that short.:)

I don't think you'll beat "Paradise" for a 4 or 5 day cruise. GREAT entertainment, with a live band, and big shows. (No Playlist Productions) ;)Fantastic food and service, and a port, and local airport that are easy to navigate. FANTASTIC CRUISE IMO.

I have really enjoyed the Fantasy and the Ecstasy for shorter trips.

We just did a 4 day on the Victory in September and IMO it was my least favorite cruise. The ship was fine, staff and food was great but many of the other passengers were flat out rude and loud. There was more hard partying going on than I have seen before. I think a short trip like that is great for local people who want to spend a few days at sea and party up. Every night at around 3-4 am we were awake due to a party in our hallway. For the record, I'm not the kind of person that would call security. I appreciate that everyone has the right to have fun on their vacation, and I did have fun on mine. I just thought this group was a bit over the top.

Victory for balconies and bigger ship it Paradise for a smaller ship and lower price. Paradise leaves from Tampa and Victory leaves from Miami. I would suggest Paradise if you don't want balconies. TPA airport is a joy to fly into versus Miami.

I did a 5 day on the Fascination, and it was one of the best trips I ever took. Nice size, not too crowded, no lines for food or shows, just an all around nice cruise. I would highly reccomend it.

I also recommend the Fascination. Awesome ship for a 5 day cruise. Can't beat stopping at HMC :D

We are doing a B2B in January on this ship!

Not sure about the best but Ecstasy is a nice ship for a quick weekend cruise and it's just coming out of dry dock after a referb.

Very true! Just did "Ecstasy", and it was an excellent cruise as well. Now that she's coming out of dry dock, I'm not sure what they'll change, so it might be better, or, not? Love the crew aboard "Ecstasy" however!
