Miami hotel w/ free FLL shuttle?

In all the years of staying in both places......flying to one and sailing

from the other....I have never heard of any Miami hotels with shuttles

up to Ft. Lauderdale....and to be honest, even if they offered a shuttle,

I would bet you a Martini it would never be complimentary:eek:;)

You are sailing out of Miami and your flight home is out of FLL? I would

suggest putting some $$ aside and just make it "transportation funds"

and take a cab or reserve a car service.

It was just a question :)

I've used SAS before and was happy, however, I'm taking my parents and my dad is handicapped - such transportation vans (or the ones I have been on) have been packed and making many stops at multiple places - thought a hotel van (that only goes from point A-B) would be easier.

I think everyone was trying to help you.:) If you need an accessible

van.....in my opinion, as to not worry about "other stops" and stuff....

I would book a car service. Then it would be you and your parents

on your own schedule with whatever needs your Dad has being serviced

one to one.

OP, people here are just offering advice and help. I don't think anyone was rude to you.

I also agree that a private care service/limo would suit your needs best. It will be slightly more than a taxi but very comfortable and the driver will meet you at the airport in the baggage claim area. You can easily google "FLL limo services" or use the search on this board for suggestions. We have used South Florida Transportation and were very happy with them. :)

I once took a free hotel shuttle to a cruise. The driver refused to help a handicapped elderly lady get into the van and even wouldn't let me help her. Only her son could help her. The driver said it was insurance reasons. He eventually allowed her to get into the easier-to-access front passenger seat. Your results might differ though.

I agree to just budget for the least expensive private vehicle. It'll be less stressful, I think. Maybe you can get a discount if you use the same company for the airport-hotel, hotel-port, port-airport trips!
