Unless you want to get off earlier, you will be the last group off. You will be escorted to Customs, then reboard

You will get a new S&S card, have a complimentary photo taken, and be served Mimosas. The procedure will be explained in a letter you receive in your cabin.

I am doing a b2b on Carnival Breeze. What is the procedure at the end of first week? Do we get off the ship. I will be in the same room the second week.

Thanks

Robb

When are you going, Robb? We'll be on the Carnival Breeze in early November. It would be great to see you again!

Be sure to order some booze on first leg so you can have it in your cabin the 2nd leg.

It has been reported here that if you are B2B they will "hold" your booze till the end of the second leg. Anyone recently had this happen?

1st leg Oct 23-30th 2nd leg Oct 30th to Nov 6th. I will keep the ship in ship shape condition. Wish I had known that you would be on board I might have changed my sailing dates.

I hope that is not true. About a year ago I had someone who was going a b2b get me some Johnny Walker Blue and she had no trouble saving it for me when I boarded..

Were they at the end of their 2nd leg? If so that would work, but as I said earlier there have been a few posts that reported that their booze was held till the end of the 2nd leg and they were unable to claim it at the end of the 1st leg.

The gal had completed the 1st leg and was on the way to start her second let. Thus she was able to give me the liquor that she bought on her lst leg

Technically they have to give it to you if you plan to buy on second leg. Duty allows only so much and if you had both sailings worth at end. You would have to. Claim on 2nd trip thru customs. Don't know. Do they make sure everything you say taking to the car goes? Maybe you are grabbing a bottle of wine for leg 2

That is interesting. I am getting the bottle for myself but will not open it till after we get home.

Used to be that liquor bought in the Duty Free shops on board were held and delivered to your cabin the last night of the cruise.

Now, Carnival holds your purchase until the morning of debarkation and you have to go pick it up. For a B2B, they will hold it until the end of the second leg and you will have to go pick it up.

As a result, we no longer by from the Duty Free whether we are on a single or B2B cruise. Makes packing a PIA.

That's why I want to get it on the fist leg of the b2b. PIA is correct.

Hi Robb! The Princess and I did a B2B on the Freedom in June. We were given a letter a day or so before the turn around day with instructions to meet at the library at 10:30. They had a nice little coffee & pastry set up there for us. After about a 30 minute wait we were escorted off the ship, through customs and back on the ship. The whole thing took less than an hour. We were given new cards, had our picture taken in front of a banner and sent on our way. It was painless. That was our first B2B and we loved it. We just hung out at the pool as the other guests arrived.

Enjoy!!

Nope. On our recent B2B, I bought a bottle in the gift shop on the last night of the first week. The next morning I went down and picked it up along with everyone departing that day. I took my bottle back to our cabin and we enjoyed it the next week.

May be luck of the draw. I was told that the system that processes the S&S card will identify you as a B2B and will alert the clerk to hold your purchase. You've been successful, others have not.

Maybe the safest way is to make a friend of someone on week 1, get them to buy your bottle and go with the friend to the pick up area on debarkation morning and take your bottle back to your cabin. Might be nice to add a little reward for the friend. :D

We'll be getting on when you're getting off! Sorry to miss you; we'll try to catch you next time! I'm jealous of a B2B - maybe if we ever retire we'll get to do that! Have a wonderful cruise!!

I gotta tell you Robb, the feeling of walking on that ship and knowing you get to be there for 2 weeks is something special. It seemed like forever. I don't know about you but usually when we leave the last port I get sort of a letdown because the cruise is coming to an end. This time I knew we still had another week with different ports (except Coz of course). You and Marj are going to love it. I'm glad we did it when we did. Unfortunately, the new position I've taken at the hospital will probably preclude taking 2 weeks at a time.

Have fun!
