Pretty neat time lapse of the Statendam pulling into Homer AK today

Google and I stumbled across this webcam of Homer when I tried the one on the "Location of HAL ships" thread and it appeared to be broken.

Question: Why are there so many vehicles parked along the shoreline?

Sorry if this seems like a silly question, but we have never been to Homer. Looking forward to seeing it next year for the first time.

An educated guess says the cars, etc. belong to people out fishing.

As you ride along the Homer spit you see loads of vehicles, and plenty of RV's in the summer. People come up for the summer and go fishing.

I was amazed the first time I saw what looked like a huge campground. Fishing was the explanation I was given.
