stjlo Posted July 19, 2017 #1 Share Posted July 19, 2017 I have 2 cabins booked, one for myself and my husband (in my name) and one for our kids (21 and 15), in my son's name. We have a total of $825 onboard credit, $485 for our cabin and $340 for the kids. Can I use their credit? Ours is being used up quicker because one of the shore excursions we're going on is taking up most of it. The kids will have about 200 left on theirs and I want to spend it in the shops and a little bit in the casino! How can I do this? We already have free tips for both cabins, too. Thanks. You'll have to go shopping/casino with them and have them offer their card for your purchase.

BoopTennis Posted July 20, 2017 #4 Share Posted July 20, 2017 who's credit card is tied to your sons' cabin ? if it is yours, then everyone's expenses and purchases will be applied towards that credit card, as well as their OBC.
Rare Cruise Raider Posted July 20, 2017 #5 Share Posted July 20, 2017 who's credit card is tied to your sons' cabin ? if it is yours, then everyone's expenses and purchases will be applied towards that credit card, as well as their OBC. This is exactly what happened when we took my twin nephews on a cruise. I just put them on my credit card and my folio showed all the obc and charges from both cabins. Even when I went with my brother and his wife, where we were on different credit card accounts and different rooms, we were just sharing our obc between the two rooms. They were able to move some of theirs under our folio as we were going to have some leftover on theirs long after we spent all of ours.

We frequently book two cabins under my credit card and our experience has been as Boop Tennis describes.

skynight Posted July 20, 2017 #8 Share Posted July 20, 2017 There will be 4 on board accounts, one for each person. If all are tied to the same credit card then there will also be a summary account that nets all the purchases and OBC together. Once on board you can verify this at the passenger service desk.
