We cruise on the Miracle 3-4 times per year and love her. Great entertainment, meals and a superb crew. I think you will have a wonderful time if you go. And if you go I recommend you go to the Steak House at least once--it is just excellent.

Enjoy

Think it's not long enough. Take reviews with a grain of salt. What are they complaining about?

We've sailed twice to HI, the Journey's cruise and many weeklong cruises on her and are booked to go on her in May and then Alaska in September.

Since we sail her so (too?) often, we have befriended many of the same crew over the years.

I was wondering if 14 days is to much on the Carnival Miracle ? I have read some bad reviews on the ship and the food. Please let me know what your thoughts are on this ship ?

We've sailed her several times and cruised many times on her sister Spirit class ships. We've enjoyed every one of them. If you'd like to see her in action, click below for a "slideshow" of our 2015 Miracle cruise--a 15 day Hawaiian cruise (feel free to just skip the shots before and after the cruise---just look at the ship and activities) if you want to see the pictures larger, just click on one and keep clicking on the forward arrow.

Hi,

The Miracle does not have some of the bells and whistles of the other ships.

Personally I don't think Guy Fieris is wonderful but others disagree.

The food in the MDR is just fine and the staff on the ship has always been exceptional! We cruise to relax and have fun and we manage to do a lot of that on the Miracle!! We really like the layout of the ship and we love the comedy club and the Red Frog Pub which is a real venue with games and entertainment and fun rum drinks.

We have been on the larger ships and they provide more activities on sea days but we still enjoy the Miracle!

We also LOVE the Miracle! Here is a link to my review on the Miracle in August. We are going again in March and I can't wait! It is all about the crew on this ship. They will make you feel like family!

We've been on the Miracle several times to Mexico (and are back on in TWO DAYS!!). She's a good ship. The layout is great. You'll have lots of good viewing places for Alaska. I have enjoyed the MDR food (and we are foodies). The Lido can be good on most days and spotty on others--no different than any other ship. Just need to "shop around," try a little of everything and, realize that, somedays, a large green salad can be just what the stomach ordered. :-) Serenity area being at the back of the boat is great.

I have a few complaints, but they are small in the scheme of things. I would love a quieter section in the Lido (like the upstairs of the Splendor). I would like the indian/mediterranean station (again, like on Splendor). Not a fan of the sports bar--smoking allowed and layout/seating is no bueno.

We've been on the Miracle a few times with the most recent over Thanksgiving last year. It feels very familiar to us and we just love the Spirit class ships, very easy to get around and never really feels too crowded. The addition of Red Frog Pub was fun. We don't mind the American Table new menu, always find something good to eat with enough variety.I think you will have a great cruise. You can't go wrong with the Miracle.

I agree with riclop though, it's getting old.

For us, with the Splendor replacing it, we're not a fan of that ship, been on her a couple of times. For now, we are taking a break from Carnival. We'll be back though, sometime.

We are booked on the Miracle this coming August as our first Carnival sailing. Decided it was a perfect opportunity to finally sail them and see for ourselves how we feel about the line. The fact that it doesn't have all the proverbial bells and whistles some of the other ships we've sailed is fine by us- the kids aren't going on this sailing :D. Most reviews I read here on CC make me very comfortable with the Miracle.

We were originally booked on the Allure of the Seas w/ balcony. Combined with airfare across the country, we were looking at $3100. The Miracle, with a balcony, plus a quick flight down to LGB, is a steal at $1900.

Very much looking forward to what will likely be a great week on the Miracle for us!

A trip is what you make of it! Smile. I could easily do 14 days...the variety of activities and people you will meet will keep you busy. Plus relaxing down time. I was solo with my 3 teens and had fun...so if you are going with another adult companion, you will be just fine!

I think you'll be fine. 14 days is a lot, but you'll probably have plenty of time to explore ports and get away from the ship so I doubt you'll feel bored or cooped up. They probably have a lot more on board activities too, to keep you busy. And I think with 14 days you won't feel so much pressure to do as much as you can in a shorter period of time. You'll be able to relax! [emoji2][emoji924]

Leaving tomorrow on the Miracle (2nd time in 7 months). I always feel the need to do EVERYTHING on the ship! This is my first time in 12 cruises that I am telling myself NOT to do everything. Hopefully I can relax being that the last time we went on the Miracle in August it felt like we DID do every activity offered

I am a respectful smoker, and I was wondering - is there anywhere on Miracle that one can smoke where drinks are also served? Any info would be appreciated, and please no hating, I do follow the rules. I called Carnival and they weren't even able to answer this for me - they suggested I post here lol!

Yes, I'm aware of the Casino bar, but unless you are paying to play it is usually packed in there. Is there anywhere outside that you can smoke and get served drinks, similar to the areas on the Dream? Thanks for the response! :)

From Carnival's fact sheet for the Miracle:

  • Frankenstein’s Lab Nightclub: Smoking is permitted on the Upper level but not on the dance floor.
  • Outdoors: Smoking is permitted in designated areas on Deck 3 (starboard side), Deck 9 (starboard side, forward) and Deck 10 (starboard side, forward).
  • Note: Cigar and tobacco pipes are only permitted in the above designated outdoor smoking areas on Deck 9 and Deck 10.

Yes, I've read the site. My point is that not even a Carnival rep on the phone could tell me if drinks are served in those outdoor areas. Does anyone know? Trust me, I have researched this to death.

No, you go get it yourself. If you have researched so well you should have been able to see that Deck 3 promenade doesn't lend itself to cocktail service, it's an outdoor deck designed for walking.
