Odyssey Cruise Director; and team

Can anyone tell me who the Cruise Director, Hotel Manager; Captain, and Matre 'd are on the Odyssey now. We depart on Aug 16; for two weeks.

Have asked this on another site but got no answers.

Currently the Captain is david bathgate, hotel manager daniel putzenhammer, cruise director jay joseph.

A great team, I know the captain and hotel director from the spirit and think they are excellent.

I don't know the name of the maitre d only to say he was an asian gentleman who made sure everyone adhered to the dress codes strictly, which kept up standards throughout.

Just got off yesterday in Athens and unfortunately still on Greek time.

Jay did the first half of our cruise and Sophie came on in Venice. SophIe was the assistant cruise director on one of the smaller ships and is just filling in temporarily. What an improvement! She was terrific. Warm, personable, and lots of energy and ideas. Activities increased tremendously from the first day she came on. She expects to return to an ACD position after this temporary assignment! although she would of course like to assume a CD position at some point.

I hope the Sophie ends up in the CD position (permanently) soon. She's delightful and has a true gift for connecting with others. She was also highly visible which I think is important for a CD.

I thought Jay was a great entertainer but his other interactions seemed forced. But that's my subjective view.

All in all, I think that cruise directors can be such a subjective thing - I remember there being a strong of complaints a couple months ago about John Howell who I very much liked! (And semi-related, I absolutely hated an NCL cruise director earlier this year but heard lots of their regulars oohing and aahing over how amazing they thought he was... whereas I thought he needed to be muzzled!)

Sophie was assistant CD, and we found her much more sociable than Jay.

Hope she is made a permanent CD soon, lovely girl!

Bruce Morrison was CD and Sophie as Asst CD on our Baltic cruise last July. They hosted the most fun event at 7:30 a.m. when we entered the Arctic Circle. Bathrobes and champagne. The fog horn was sounding and it was so much fun and beautiful. And, yes, folks wore their robes.

I am delighted to read that Sophie Tehrani is your CD. She is a lovely young woman who works very hard at her job. She is always out & about and connects warmly with folks. Great sense of humor and nice singing voice also.

She was an ACD on the Sojourn WC and the brightest light on that staff. I,too, hope that she will soon be a CD.

Of course, can Claudio, an excellent bartender & charming person, be far away???

Your gains are our losses as we will be on Sojourn in mid August.

Sophie is terrific. A fabulous entertainer, naturally bubbly and always seems like she is having a good time. Hopefully she will be a full CD for many cruises to come!

The absolute worst cruise director is JAN. We so miss RACHAEL VAGO- SB was stupid to loose her and her brilliant chef husband!

Who is onboard right now? I'm still six weeks out from my next Seabourn sailing but curious who we will have!

Destinations Manager = Ben Luckx (if there is a problem with a tour, let him know)

Food & Beverage Manager = Daciano Da Silva (the bartenders and wine stwards are doing an excellent job)

Executive Chief = Kurt Timmermans (YOU ARE GOING TO EAT TOO MUCH)

Does anyone know who is the current Restaurant Manager (Main Restaurant Maitre D') ?

Can anyone tell me who the current Cruise Director of the Seabourn Odyssey? We will be taking the cruise from Barbados to Monte Carlo on April 15th, 2017.

This thread is quite old but NoVa Mimi's thread - just back from Odyssey was quite helpful - Captain was David Bathgate and CD was Ross Roberts both of whom we had last July - Ross is good fun and loves the the Spice Girls!

We just got off the Odyssey on Saturday and have to agree Ross Roberts is a lot of fun, and a very good singer, surprisingly!
