12times Posted August 31, 2015 #1 Share Posted August 31, 2015 We have cruised about 25 times on just Celebrity and Royal Caribbean. Entertainment, esp) shows are very important to us. We have seen many great ones on both of those companies. We were thinking of trying the Royal Princess, but the theatre is quite small. Does that mean they don't have as many Headliners and shows there? They seemed to emphasize just relaxing on that ship, which I like ,but I want some fun activities ,also. Tks in advance for any information.
Pam in CA Posted August 31, 2015 #2 Share Posted August 31, 2015 You'll have a choice of several different entertainments at a time throughout the ship. There could be a comedian, trivia, game show, piano lounge entertainment, entertainment in the Piazza, and/or a show. Not to mention MUTS or the free on-demand movies in your cabin. Sometimes at the same time. There's no lack of entertainment. Often, a choice has to be made.
capriccio Posted August 31, 2015 #3 Share Posted August 31, 2015 What Pam said, plus they don't expect everyone to go to the theater at the same time! Shows in the theater are scheduled at least twice, and sometimes 3 times a night.
nukesubsailor Posted August 31, 2015 #4 Share Posted August 31, 2015 I was on the Royal Princess last month. The production shows were great. We especially liked the ones called Sweet Soul Music and Spectacular.
caribill Posted August 31, 2015 #5 Share Posted August 31, 2015 We were thinking of trying the Royal Princess, but the theatre is quite small. The main theater on the Regal and the Royal are the largest in the Princess fleet.

Tks in advance for any information. There will be production shows in the theater probably at least two different ones on a one week cruise, maybe three on a 10 day cruise. There will also be guest entertainers and they can be anything from singers, musicians, magic, comedy. These are in the theater as well as in the Vista Lounge. Some nights there will be entertainment in both venues on the same night. Princess no longer has the once Big Name "Headliners".
