Rainy day options

While we all hope that we have great weather during our vacation and port days I never really thought about the chance of rain since we like to pretty much head to a beach. I know we always have the option of staying onboard but if we want to still explore a bit of the island what are some good rainy day options?

ARGH! That is a great question. Despite having spent a fair amount of time on the island (in a Condo) we do not have a great solution. If we are there on a vacation we might go shopping (often in Phillispburg) and have a nice long lunch. Then perhaps get together with some neighbors and play a game/cards. For cruise passengers we think a similar day makes the most sense.

Just have an umbrella with you and go shopping. We've done that before.

Go to the butterfly farm, it is well done.

There are museums on both sides of the island. The Blue Mall has a small play land for kids and some nice stores. Personally the long lunch is my go to on a rainy day!

A tour of the island can still work if it's raining but not pouring.

Shopping and as long lunch are indicated - but be ready for a plan B, as many "rainy days" on the island are really brief showers.
