Looks like Disney is copying CARNIVAL's Shorts Policy

Other than CCL 'not turning away people in the MDR wearing shorts', has CCL actually amended their policy to ALLOW them?

Yes, for quite a while now, as long as they are dress shorts. Except on Elegant night, and never in the steakhouse.

Why not post this on the Disney boards? What is your source of information citing that Carnival allowed shorts first in the MDR?

WHy? They already know.

And where did I say Carnival was first?

When we went on the Disney Dream a couple of years ago I saw more shorts in the dining room than I had ever seen on Carnival!

So I know for sure they have been allowing them at least on the Disney Dream for quite awhile. (none of elegant night of course)

I am sure it has something to do with the wants of the people. I dont want to all dressed up while on vacation. It is vacation after all. Also, people dont dress up like they used too. Who has been to a wedding where there was someone wearing jeans? Or a wake? Funeral? or even a job interview? Court appearance? I am sure we all have. Is it right. No. But its the way it is and the cruise lines are trying to conform.

sorry NCL allowed shorts long before Carnival. All CCL can do is follow everybody else and try to keep up.

Bill

Really ? The largest cruise line in the industry is trying to keep up. Good one
