Va. Plumber Posted March 30, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 30, 2016 Looking at Boston to Quebec cruises. Anyone have any info on possible transportation back to Boston at end of cruise? Does NCL ofer any kind of transfers?
hawkeyetlse Posted March 30, 2016 #2 Share Posted March 30, 2016 They offer one-way airfare, or you can stay on board if the next cruise goes back to Boston. No land transport options through NCL, as far as I know.
ighten Posted March 30, 2016 #3 Share Posted March 30, 2016 Best bet is to carry on to Montreal... Better flight options
gail-s Posted March 30, 2016 #4 Share Posted March 30, 2016 When my parents did that trip they ended up deciding it was more cost effective to take the return trip on the Dawn. They looked into flying, trains and renting a car and in the end figured the cost of the 2nd trip was worth it. They're lucky that they can take 2 weeks off to do something like that though. buckirj1 Posted March 30, 2016 #5 Share Posted March 30, 2016 One of the best things is that the itineraries are slightly different in each direction. I think doing the Boston-Boston round trip is a great idea if you have the time and money.
DirtyDawg Posted March 30, 2016 #6 Share Posted March 30, 2016 (edited) Most flights will make connections in Montreal, Toronto, or JFK. Trains will connect through Montreal. Just google airlines who fly out of Quebec City or Amtrak and Via Rail for train service. Edited March 30, 2016 by DirtyDawg
navybankerteacher Posted March 30, 2016 #7 Share Posted March 30, 2016 Quebec seems to be one of those places to which you cannot get from here : wherever "here" happens to be. Flying from almost anywhere in the US seems to require a change of planes - often in Detroit. Trains means going via Montreal to New York - which would require an overnight stay before getting a train to Boston. The most practical method would be to rent a car in Quebec and drop it off in Boston - not great, but better than the miserable set of alternatives. Barb Nahoumi Posted March 30, 2016 #8 Share Posted March 30, 2016 NCL should offer that cruise as a round trip. RCI does a round trip from Boston to Canada.
