Recommended Posts

Buffet will usually be open util 9pm or so. Check the Cruise Compass (daily schedule) for specific hours.

Late night snacks at Park Cafe in the Solarium. Again, check the Compass for closing time.

The Windjammer closed at 9pm for dinner on the Radiance, but opened again at 11pm for 'late night snacks'. It, along with the Park Cafe and the Boardwalk Doghouse stayed open until between midnight and 1am from then.

Hi!

What are the buffet hours, and are there late night snacks/desserts available?

What are the hours for ice cream?

Is Half & Half available for coffee along with Splenda?

Thanks

Radiance per our cruise last May:

WJ...Breakfast 6:00am-10:00am

Lunch 11:30am-3:00pm

Snacks (tea time) 3:30pm-5:00pm

the WJ closes at 5:00pm and opens for

Dinner 6:30pm-9:00pm

The latest you can get snacks is until 1:00am at the Dog House or Park Cafe...Cafe Latte-tudes is open until 11:00pm..Of course room service 24 hours but $3.95 service charge is applied automatically to all orders between midnight and 5:00am.

Soft serve machine is in the WJ during their open hours in addition to some evenings hand scooped ice cream is also available during the dinner hours.

Half & Half..Splenda available at all venues where coffee is served.

Also just take some desserts during the WJ dinner hours and leave them in your cabin for later.

Hope this helps...but no worries you won't go hungry :)

Not sure when specifically, but it did at least one night on our cruise in February. We only wandered by and didn't go in, but people were in there grabbing a few things. It was also mentioned in our Cruise Compass that it would be open again around this time.

Can you get tea, coffee or hot chocolate after hrs. in the windjamer, or do you have to purchase these extra somewhere else on the ship. Thanks.

If you enter the Windjammer on the left hand side (after the washrooms) it is open until quite late or even 24h for coffee, tea and hot chocolate. The Windjammer will be closed but this area stays open.

Enjoy your cruise!

Thanks robandana. You just don't know what a relief that is to know we can get something to drink after hrs. We are night people and there is nothing better than a hot cup of tea or hot chocolate to warm those hands while on a ship to Alaska. Thanks again for the quick reply.

Also check around Park Cafe for a beverage station. Remember also that room service is available 24 hours.

You will have a wonderful time! Here is a link to the cruise compasses from our Alaska southbound Radiance cruise last summer: RADIANCE COMPASSES

A few details may have changed, but hopefully that will give you an idea.

Whether or not the Windjammer opens again for "late night snacks" can and does vary by ship. OP needs to check the Daily Compass for all times related to their specific ship/cruise.

Thanks everybody for the shared information and the shared link for the compass. I will check that out tonight. I'm new to Royal and would like to find out as much as I can about how things work. Great to know I have some options to get something to drink after hrs.

But that fee includes the tip, so really what more are you paying? A dollar maybe? Please.
