  1. Wish we could use that programme but so long as there is the risk of getting a suite with a bath tub its a no no - such a shame. We have been using verandahs more recently to stretch the budget further and have found we get along just fine with them (or we were until this stupid Onward layout which poses a risk for a future cruise). We have found we reallocate part of the budget to buying specialities some nights (could never do them every night) and we are fine - 2 cruises in a suite = 3.5 in a verandah on that model (and 4-5 in an ocean view which we have also done on a last minute and had a great time). On my next cruise Im actually going to document how long I spend on the balcony, it might surprise me its cost per hours use!
  2. Lovely, plenty hanging space there then!
  3. Great idea, we hardly use the fridge so thats something I will think about if we are struggling for hanging space
  4. Thats not been our experience, and the delay in them coming back with things on embarkation, easier and quicker to have the hangers which add no weight or take up space in the case so as soon as we open the case we can get going. I had miscalculated how many to bring post pandemic and the attendant (who was very good so its not down to him) said they did not have any other than the ones to return laundry on. Maybe they disposed of a lot during layover
  5. The only destinations Viking require tests for are voyages that call to Canada, so there must have been a change. There is no testing now on their European cruises and no vaccination requirements to enter many European countries now
  6. aargh Wish they would post on their website
  7. Hope you have a great cruise and that "management" is happy with their quarters
  8. Where is this posted? I’ve looked on their website but no joy.
  9. I have found the videos now and yes that lack of hanging space is a challenge but we will think of a work around (luckily when we go to Onward its only for one cruise). I do find the bulky hangers are a problem, we pack some wire ones to help and we can get more in that way. Last year on Quest the hangers were awful, I do not thing they had done well in cold storage, they were all warped so took up more space than needed. In the end I took the warped and bent ones out but there were no more available to replace them with so our wire hangers were a godsend
  10. I have to agree. I am not a heavy packer but as a couple we will struggle with that space now that the hanging space is so reduced. So on onward can someone tell me what is in the space the fridge was in on Journey/Quest (in the wedge shaped unit) or in the desk as it was on Pursuit. Looks like a corner cut here in the refurbishment which in my mind is a daft move if its supposed to be a premium line - we know about the shower limitation and accept that, but why throw in a hanging space challenge as well
  11. Sorry I meant the luggage storage, we went to Terminal C and though there were storage facilities they were all closed due to "local restrictions" Not sure if that also applies to WTC
  12. I think the EU must have lifted the mandates given how many Viking vessels are sailing in Europe just now with no pre boarding testing
  13. How are they tasting to you? Is there no rose at all?
  14. Totally fair assessment. We found the Front Porch staff at lunchtime very unresponsive at 1330 so 30 minutes before end of service and the only choice available couldn’t be eaten due to allergies the boat was aware of. We solved the problem by hitting room service instead (we had time that day) Yes I never got Tennessee whiskey cake dessert on late seating as it was all gone. More annoying think I referenced before the group with tour manager, three large tables and all the senior restaurant staff always fluffing round them. Well after we ate our second choices which were fine out comes plates of the said cake with much fanfare for these tables.
  15. A friend currently onboard said Ernest was leaving after this cruise to join Celebrity
  16. Interesting, not the Azamara labelled wine which has had some pretty bad reviews. Sounds like this was a good solution
  17. It was not operational in April
  18. Looking at the UK site front page and the logos on your photos this MIGHT be your offer, but you need to check it, I found this explanation by clicking on deals on the top tab on the home page and scrolling through the information you have. Receive $300 Onboard Credit, Unlimited WiFi for one device, Premium Beverage Package for two when booking a Balcony or higher on select 2023-2024 sailings when you book by 31 August 2023.*
  19. I think you are far into the booking screens, go back on the website to the earlier pages, the offers and perks will be there, they usually are on the front screen. They certainly are in the UK and also they are on the first page of the booking screen there is a tab you can click on under the "from" pricing which says offers and tells you all that is included in any offer. If for some reason the website you are looking at has a programme issue you are going to have to call Azamara for the information or speak to a travel agent.
  20. You are going to struggle in Dublin, sorry. They have legacy security constraints from years gone by Would it be possible for people to leave their luggage at their hotel and for the tour to go back that way before going back to the check in? You might be optimistic anyway getting 10 people on check in day so maybe keeping the luggage with you is the option, people will have carryon bags with things they will want to keep with them in any event.
  21. Azamara does not offer this at disembarkation though there can be private providers in some ports who do. At embarkation in some ports you can check your luggage in without boarding, at others (particularly in Asia and Australia) you have to then go though the boarding process immediately you had your luggage over. If you can tell us which ports you are thinking about, people might be able to give you more specific details.
  22. No problem the porters put new tags on for you
  23. I am so sorry to hear of your loss and my condolences to you and your family. Your husband was a true gentleman on these boards, treating everyone with respect and posting with humour, knowledge and a real desire to make everyone's cruising experience a good one.
  24. It’s not one they can dock in. It’s usually a very short tender ride in
