  1. The final entry (just the travel back home) will go online today. So with this entry the review is (finally) finished. Thanks for following! steamboats
  2. Actually there is not much outside seating anyway - meaning tables and chairs where you can eat. Yes, you can lay down on one of the bed type loungers or sit on a sofa but there´s only a small table where you can´t eat. I haven´t seen any tablets outside either. steamboats
  3. Not sure whether you can read the names. steamboats
  4. You will find all bar menus I got hands on here Norwegian Prima - Bars und Lounges - Carmens CruiseDiary steamboats
  5. They officially switched to Coke on Aug 26th. There was a press release too about the new partnership. During the christening cruise the Coca Cola Bear had a photo session on the Ocean Boulevard. BTW we didn´t have a problem to get Coke Zero. steamboats
  6. Have a great trip and a wonderful wedding! steamboats
  7. Gee, I just worked on my Le Havre photos yesterday. The entry will go online tomorrow. Have a safe trip back home! steamboats
  8. It´s basically because they open the shows one by one... Supermarket Sweep is not known in Germany which doesn´t mean it´s not known all over Europe especially UK. steamboats
  9. Currently it´s just "The Price is Right". You get name tags when you make a reservation for the (free) show. Participants are called out like in the real TV show (in our show the participants were set as this was a special one with Katy Perry as surprise guest). You can even win the prizes (which are shipped of course - you don´t have to carry a huge TV off the ship ;-)). steamboats
  10. We had a balcony cabin with a connecting door. We did hear our neighbor sneezing several times. I didn´t hear anyone speaking but maybe because he was on his own. Can´t tell you whether he heard us talking. But... surprisingly I did not hear the slamming of his bathroom door. And you really have to hold it to avoid the door slamming (which is also a big risk of getting hurt). Same with the cabin door. And I didn´t hear that either. I never heard anything from the other side but I know the cabin was occupied too. steamboats
  11. @ColdCruise there was a media talk including CD Simon on our maiden cruise. Simon said that the shows are rolled out step by step. I already thought that this would be disappointing for those who booked the Sep 3rd cruise. It was sort of disappointing for us too. When you are supposed to write about a ship you need to experience it which includes the announced entertainment. Would have loved to see Noise Boys too. Sure, Kool & the Gang was great and Chaka Khan, but that´s not the regular entertainment which I wanted to see. steamboats
  12. I would suggest to meet at a restaurant. Just to make it easy, there is a McDonalds in Terminal 1 Hall A. This doesn´t mean I suggest you to hang out there - just as a meeting point 😉 noone can miss. Then you can look for another location. Here´s a list of restaurants in Frankfurt airport. Eat & drink (frankfurt-airport.com) steamboats
  13. Yes, correct. But we still have to wear them in trains - long distance trains so far but I doubt that regional and local public transportation will skip the masks (that´s up to the states while long distance is up to federal law). steamboats
  14. There was a screen in Le Havre when we were there on the maiden voyage. steamboats
  15. Yes, there´s a sauna and an ice room on deck 16 at The Haven Sundeck. steamboats
  16. The photo review is continuing after a break of a couple of days with day 1 onboard (or less onboard - as we arrived late and more or less continued to the Harpa). steamboats
  17. The lockers / changing rooms are in the spa area (when you face the Spa reception on deck 16 - the gym is to the right side as well as the beauty salon and barber shop and the spa including the changing rooms is to the left side). There is no sauna in the changing rooms just in the Thermal Suite area. steamboats
  18. Just found this price list of the spa in my papers... Day pass for the Thermal Suite / Lounge was 99 USD. steamboats
  19. @onelegcraig sounds that nothing has changed since May. We stayed in three different hotels in May: Shoreline Hotel in Waikiki - second row but really close to the beach, very nice, decent price Moana Surfride - high price, right at the beach oldest hotel in town Best Western Plaza - at the airport, nice, decent price, bus right in front of the door (we had an early flight the next day, so an airport hotel was more convenient) steamboats
  20. Indulge Food Hall has no charge except for Coco´s and Starbucks. They thought about charging for single items at dinner but so far they deceided not to do so. steamboats
  21. You can find more photos here. @Steff79 yes, it´s definitely weird that you need to walk through Surfside Café. We sometimes opted to walk a cabin aisle on a lower deck. Our cabin was more aft so we always had to walk through the Surfside Café to get to the pool area or Observation Lounge... @quillwercruisers that blank area is the Haven Infinity Pool. Check my photos. I took a photo from deck 8 upward. steamboats
  22. We´ve been in 11312 - so a little more forward. The Infinity Pool was no problem at all. We were closer to The Drop and you could hear the artifical scream and the countdown from the slide when on the balcony. I didn´t hear the people screaming. So I´d say stick to your cabin. steamboats
  23. Don´t worry, no real inaugural festivities either on the first cruise. Only 700 pax were admitted to the theater to watch Katy live. All the rest of us watched it on TV. Not even a special cocktail or nibblings... Yes, there were some presents and the Harpa concert on the first evening. We had Kool & The Gang and Chaka Khan. But mainly because the other shows weren´t ready yet. steamboats
  24. Actually I thought that too but got it when he was talking about the Men´s Locker in the Spa 😉 Stefan, Stephan, Steffen - male Stefanie, Stephanie - female Unfortunaltey Melitta would be immediately associated with the coffee brand here in Germany. Actually my first name is very popular in Spain too but my parents thought about the Latin meaning - Carmen. steamboats
  25. The first paying passengers just finished their cruise which started Sep 3rd and ended yesterday. So the 10/10 cruise is just the first cruise with paying passengers out of the US. @ontheweb the only "inaugural" cruise your TA can be on is the one 10/6 (October, not November) which is a cruise by invitation only for TAs and media. November has regular cruises only for paying passengers. steamboats
